I've saved my favorite project for last. The Alien Tripods from Steven Spielberg's 'War of the Worlds'!
Yeah, the storyline was terrible in comparison to the actual book written by H.G. Wells, but ILM once again blew me away with their amazing talents in the 3D world. I HAD to give these Tripods a shot.
Fluid, intimidating walk cycles, an overall looming appearance, and just so beautifully crafted, I really did have to give it a shot.
Took a few months, but I gave it my all, and it was really a workout for my mind. n~n
Overall I'm very proud of this creation. Though there are many notable flaws.
Like...
Legs are too long, the overall machine lacks detail, the legs are bent outward too much (Because at the time I had no idea how the leg's foundations were constructed at the hips, and MAN WAS I WRONG.)
But even with all those flaws, I'm very, VERY proud of what I made. (Lol, ego much?)
