Plot:
Prof. Oak is already blowing us off to go back to his work.
My character does not have a burning desire to prove himself through 'Mon fighting, and so any rivalry between him and Blue is very low-key. Note that Blue is the one boasting that Scott's "going down".
The slapfight is just for silly. My humor tends more towards dry and/or surreal, rather than wacky, but I do enjoy wacky humor sometimes.
I already have a name for the Charmander. I'll start putting it in the tags once it comes up in-comic.
Art:
I did the fire on Charmander's tail with the smear tool this time. I like the result, but I think it doesn't fit in well with the rest of the art. Also, she's too skinny in panel 5. Squirtle's all over the place. I can't get him down quite right. I need to practice drawing turtles to get used to the shell. I mean, look at panel 6. That's just terrible. I think, artwise, I like Charmander best in panels 3 and 4, and Squirtle best in panel 4.
Experimenting with my lettering for sound effects. Looking workable so far.
And yes, the human characters have no necks. It's a thing I do.
ETA: Argh! Forgot to color the flame in Charmander's tail in panel 1! So annoying! Always missing details!
ETA2: Forgot the color in Scott's shoes in panel 1, too! Panel 1 needed more attention.
Gameplay:
Combat log will be posted next comic, when the combat ends.
