Nice? Classic army or VFC? I have a VFC running right now, need to tidy up the gearbox though :(.

VFC.. the first thing that I did was that I took the whole mechbox apart and replaced everything. The outside of the gun is nice, but the internals suck :(. Although mine is working good now :)

I know what you mean :\. I wish they'd put some effort on the internals, They're sturdy enough to take a lot of punishment, not a pretty wallhanger. I'm just waiting to get this one sniper rifle project out of the way before i pick at the gearbox more.

Yeah, usually the vfc stuff is ok, but their gearbox is horrible. But I had to have the gen.3 model of the scar, so I didn't have any other options :). And one thing you should also change there is the motor, it really sucked :D

FN is spectacular. I was a bit disappointed that it was AIRSOFT but you still got's class. If I was a furry and not too busy trying chase my tail, I'd indubitably pursue such high-brow forms of up-to-no-goodery.

On a quasirelated note: I have an airsoft pistol that I'll probably never use in combat because it was powerful enough to put a hole through my foot.

I don't know if they have the real-ones in use so much yet. They should be the next weapon of choice of US special forces etc...

I've never actually fired one, nor do I know a lot about them, so I'd rather not make an assessment. ;) I will say, however, that NATO's brilliant plan for using 5.56 rounds is just getting soldiers killed. I'm not sure how the rest of the world is holding up militarily, but the Americans at least need a round that can compete with the Kalashnikov, and the FN SCAR would seem to do the trick. Luckily there does exist a heavy push to replace the M4A1.

Our army has the best kalasnikov-based rifle that there is (7,62mm that is).

Though I don't like it.. its good and it works but it is ugly as hell.. I like NATO-guns more :)

The problem with NATO is it's focus on specialty. Kalashnikov make the AK-47 for one purpose: wreck shit. But NATO guns are a bit more fun to play with, admittedly. And the G11 is pretty much the coolest thing since HK's MP5k.
