I can see how it does, even though I couldn't tell you why either D: Maybe it's the transition from white to black tiles on the checkerboard? It may remind of the transformation prints he made, although I wouldn't dream of putting my name up there next to his. He is quite an inspiration and a genius of mind =)

Thanks a lot! I absolutely adore working with ink. I did use a ruler every now and then, mostly for the two biggest grey patches. The "coins under the ruler" trick came in very handy here! But it's hard to get the same amount of space between each line if you use a ruler, so I prefer to work freehand. It's just easier to work with quick pen strokes, than tediously slow measuring with rulers =) In my opinion, anyway.
