F5 for crisper text!
I'm open for quotes! I'll be open for such between now and February 22nd.

Please note: I do not reply to quote requests sent via note or email!
These are not first come, first serve-- after I close up for quotes I will review them and after a few days I will contact the people whose projects I feel I can do best on. I'd love to be able to individually reply to every single one, but it's just not feasible anymore!
The above prices are for basic costumes, which I consider to be characters with 1-2 colors and no special markings/accessories (upgrade options detailed in the FAQ below).
Fursuit FAQ:
*Do you outsource materials? (EX: use resin or silicone parts other people have made)
No, I prefer that when people see my work they know I made the entire thing by myself.
*Can I buy unfinished items from you, like headbases or wing skeletons?
No, I no longer sell DIY items, outside of occasional premade sales.
*What are the wait times like?
Usually anywhere from 2-6 months, depending on how complex your costume is and your spot in the lineup. If you have a deadline you can discuss it with me first.
*Can I send you fur/fabric to use? Will you buy the leftovers from me?
This is a case-by-case thing. I prefer to work with fabrics I can acquire more of for the purpose of making possible additional parts/repairs in the future. I have no use for leftovers scraps of rare fabrics since if I can't get more of them all they'll be used for stuffing duct tape dummies (so, not something I want to pay for). I may accept working with client-provided fabrics if you're trying to match an existing costume, mention it when you're asking for your quote and we'll talk about it!
*Do you really need a DTD? What about measurements?
I can work off measurements for simple things like arm or leg sleeves, but I absolutely need a dummy whenever a bodysuit and/or padding is involved.
*Do you offer payment plans?
My standard way of doing things is a payment plan, actually. I require a 30% non-refundable deposit to buy materials and secure your spot in my queue. When I am ready to start your costume I ask for a 40% payment, when that is paid I get to work. When the costume is done I ask for the remaining 30% and the shipping. Single-part orders (head-only, bodysuit-only) require payment in full up front, the shipping to be paid upon completion.
*Do you do trades?
Not at this time, sorry!
*What comes standard when I buy a costume?
-Head: Foam-based head that is fully lined with a balaclava, 1-2 colors, your choice of 2D (staring) or 3D (following) toony eyes, static jaw.
-Hands: wrist-length, claws in your choice of colors, 1-2 fur colors
-Tail: soft-filled with two belt loops, 1-2 fur colors
-Feet: built on a shoe, bottoms suitable for light outdoor use, 1-2 fur colors, claws in your choice of colors
-Bodysuit: tailored to be form-fitting, 1-2 fur colors
Additional upgrades avilable upon request:
Fleece or silicone pawpads, fursuit sandals, moving jaws, hair, resin-based heads, resin eyes, resin horns/beaks/claws, male/female padding, digitigrade padding, LEDs, muzzle fans, complex markings or additional colors, etc!
*Do you modify/repair costumes other people have made? Like, if I buy wings from you, will you alter my existing bodysuit to fit them?
No, I only work on costumes I've made myself. I will happily make wings for you, but it's up to you to make arrangements to make them fit your existing bodysuit! I recommend buying both wings and a bodysuit at the same time if you desire your wing's harness to be invisible, that way they match up properly. An alternative is wearing your wings on the outside (any costume can do this), they can be disguised with a backpack or leather harness.
Thanks to everyone, hope to hear from you soon :D

You have no idea how elated I am to hear that and trust me thees a huge ramjet for quality/ budget-friendly paws.
It also seesm like everyone is moving to latex and resin paw pads x_x. They are great and all esthetically, but fleece and stuffed fleece paw pads still seem best for tactile abilities.

I'll offer either, but I do prefer fleece. Most of the time we're dealing with cartoon animals, so I think it just looks better.
Might be worth mentioning-- basic toony paws come with claws and that's it! I can do fleece pads for extra (I lovingly handsew them on so they're not all flat and boring) but I guess we'll talk more about that later :3

On the 23rd I'm going to look at all of them and within a few days after that I'll respond to those I feel I will do best on.
I used to respond to all quotes immediately, but I get so many of them I can only pick a fraction of the quotes submitted-- this new way saves me time and avoids giving people the false impression we've signed a contract already :X

Oh mann!
Every time you open quotes I get super excited!
.... and then I remember I don't have a reference of my character in anthro form yet. TT_TT
This is a I have so far: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/9860424/

I'm okay with vague refs as long as the client is fine with my filling in the blanks myself, but of course then you get my interpretation of the characteer instead of yours and that might not be quite what you want! If you want it to as close to how it is in your mind, a detailed ref is certainly the way to go. There will be other times if not this one <3
You're quite right.
Maybe next time. ^,=,^
Although I'm debating on if I want just a head, or a whole suit?
My character's head shape is quite wide, and I can't think of how to foam it right.
Maybe I'll try it, and if I fail at making her head, I'll just get one from you? XD

My suit is nearing completion so I haven't got to wear it personally yet, but to anyone reading this: Wolfbird is a really wonderful maker to work with. She puts in a lot of detail and attention to bringing your character to life, and having worked with and questioned other suitmakers I have to say that she requests the most feedback from you every step of the way to make sure it looks EXACTLY how you want it to.
"A++++++ WOULD BUY AGAIN"
Seriously though, well worth the price if you can nab the slot. :D

I understand of course. As for me, i would highly prefer using the local talents than resorting to someone in Ontario or worse, in the USA. I am not in a big hurry to have a suit but I am actually planning my retirement fun. I am already 60 years old and no longer able to move like i was 20. I am planning to retire at 65 but of course, it all depends on how greedy the government is; and how tired and sick i will be. I thought it would give me some activities to look for but i would really prefer to get that suit sooner than in five years.
Also, having a local furmaker would help a lot when it comes to preparing and making it. We can meet for brainstorming the design and refine it. I am open to any good ideas. You spoke about making a male a female (transgender). This is an interesting concept. Technically, all i would need would be to add padding to get boobs on that suit. Thou, that would make this suit crazily sexy. i am not looking for a cheap suit. At my age, this suit would also surely be my last so I would make it look good and feel comfortable. I am not a rich brat but i think i can select where i can spend my retirement fun money on. Fursuiting and meeting new friends seems a nice activity. I already have a few fursuit friends too and that helps me go into this thing too. My friends are in the USA too and i would be very glad to show them what Canadians can make :)
Hoping and praying...

Ah well, for the record I don't invite people over to brainstorm or anything-- unless I'm free to design the character as I go along you have to have already decided what you want. I'll send emails to ask questions when I have them along the way, of course. Some locals have picked up their costumes from my place themselves to save on shipping but most of the time I don't invite them inside to have a cup of tea or anything, it's a business visit and I'd rather get back to work ASAP than have to entertain anyone :X
Hint: if you're looking for a lady costume, you'd need hips! I've seen far too many men dressed up as ladies where they have fake breasts and nothing else. It doesn't fool anyone and can make people really uncomfortable because they don't really know how to react to you (that's actually why I live IRL as the sex I was born as; when I was younger I had boyish haircuts and clothing and I remember just how awkward it was to interact with people who couldn't talk to me without first asking "are you a boy or a girl?").

Humm! i filled the form without reading completely your post here. The part that i did not see was what was standard with a costume. But, as i have stated, i am inexperienced in this field and no question i want a suit but when i filled the form, i selected a mod for the eyes but then it might be preferable to have the 3D eyes in the first place. Which came standard. Also, i am wondering about a suit that can be used also as a good partial. Having flexibility might be a very good thing and a partial is less hot when it comes to dancing. So, at least, you see some of my views on this now and hope this helps straighten some things out.
The padding option is more for people who want to either enhance their shape or appear to be something else; usually the addition of a bodysuit smooths your bodytype enough to either make you look more androgynous or less muscled; if that's the effect you wanted anyway nothing special is required :3
Oh yeah, of course! The balaclava the head is built around isn't there to absorb your sweat, it's there as a base to build the foamwork off of. I pad the inside of the mask like a bicycle helmet so it touches your face as little as possible. It's still recommended to wear another balaclava underneath to keep the mask even cleaner (and in most cases I can add a small fan to the inside if you want the extra ventilation).
