I don't know, it sounds dragony(?) and why flying? They most of the time have wings of some sort
And I saw someone on dA say that they thought it would be a normal type, which is still a possiblity

Well the ribbons look like the wings of Wingull... and the name in English "Sylveon". Many English name "v" and "ph" are interchangeable... (Stephen and Steven) so the first part could be named after the Sylph... which is an air elemental. My best imagination is the chest ribbon gets wider for flight... but hopefully more info will be seen about this pokemon in its anime premiere in the Pikachu short PK25. Which that will air July 13, 2013. (In Japan)
