Samaya is a pilot usually, but there was once incident when she was shot down and survived to help out the Marines on the ground. The boys gained respect for pilots that day, and ever since Samaya has been something of a dual-class Ground and Air fighter. It was this versatility that inspired the Lylatian Military Fleet to go ahead with it's mobile armor division and create teams of Special Operations squadrons that could perform in multiple environments, instead of just being pilots or just being shock troops.

Here we see that she does not abide aliens who color their armor in ochre. Now, if only she could meet up with the rest of the ground troops, perhaps she could get some help in getting off this rock. At the very least, she could use a spotter.
