I commissioned the King of Beaks himself for this one,
Bombird. Thank you, dude!
Good news, everybody! Lizanne left her home of Sydney, Australia some time back to search for a voice acting job in the Forest, and she has finally had some success! I imagine it didn't actually take this long, so we can assume there's some story line time warping involved here. ^_~ Anyway, after offering her the position, the studio asked her to pose for a photo to display in the front office with those of the rest of the talent.
So, hooray, Lizanne is a professional again! This will go a long way to helping her decide that she made the right decision by leaving her old life behind.

In my silly little universe, lyrebirds have great mimicking potential, but they have to really practice in order to be able to create new sounds. All of Lizanne's talent is in voices, so while she can mimic other random sounds, it would have to be one she has heard a whole bunch of times, and she could only make that same sound back. Using someone else's voice to say something they've never said would be much harder, and inventing a completely new voice and using it to speak lines would be fantastically difficult to do well. Therefore, the talent curve is preserved, and the industry isn't overrun by lyrebirds. ^_~
Now, I bet a lyrebird who has spent all of his time learning how to make various sound effects would make a kickass foley artist, but Lizanne wouldn't be able to do it. She might be able to make you think your cell phone is ringing, though. ^_~
