Gejoct's Dark Rift -Raw game anim-
Welp, I make up a new quick avatar from some animation I'd worked on for Gejoct, and figured, why not post a large version while I'm still workin on shit.
This is just a raw mock-up some what it will sorta look like in game. (Will look better in game.) Plus I hadn't completely finished the animation loop for this attack. So, this isn't as good as it will be later on in his development.
This is "Dark Rift," one of his super moves. It's based on the Zero/Clone Zero (From King of Fighters) move called "White Destroyer Spirit," Though this move functions quite differently, the pose is where most of the reference is. Only the violet area has a hit box, which is pretty small. The catch to the move is that it have a gravitational pull to it, that constantly pulls his opponent in until the Rift closes where it then creates a larger burst.
Jeibu (Sprite pic here)
Will have the same move, but it will be considerably LARGER, but less concentrated, having a much weaker pull and do less damage.
The "Dark" in "Dark Rift" doesn't mean "evil." The attack is supposed to be like a black hole or dark matter.
Couple other Gejoct Keyframes I've had layin around for a while:
Cleaned up standing post
Curced Maelstrom(His Fury Super) first pose
Phasing Kick (Upwards) -Back-light attack- Many of his normal attacks will have a kind of stretching/phasing effect to them. Another reference to Clone Zero, but this sort of celestial/cosmic stuff is his thing.
Here's a graphite pic of Gejoct: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/7538277/
In related news. I'm going to be posting
shadowroo's character for public download this week. Other character announcements to follow shortly after.

Yeah, I just realized I forgot the say that after mentioning Clone Zero. I get a lot of inspiration from KoF. I just wish they'd tone their bosses down to not be so damn assy. Street Fighter's always been a lot better with Boss design (in terms of gameplay). CHEAP isn't a good way to make something hard.
SNK did it best with Grant and Kain in Garou:Mark of the Wolves. I think the worst is probably the Neo Geo Battle Colosseum bosses... Other than the bosses, I think SNK makes damn fucking good fighters.

I hadn't actually played '97 to experience Orochi, but I have in '98 UM, and just like they've said about him in '97 he's actually kind of easy. Rugal in '95 was alright. I don't think they started making asshole bosses until the NESTS saga came along. I mean, I love Clone Zero, but FUCK is he a cheap mother fucker.
I haven't fought them enough to figure out any exploits really. Al I know is, in single player runs, I do fucking great, and then get brick walled at the bosses.
Now... I fucking LOVE KoF13... but I don't think there has ever been a boss this exploitable: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DsU2Lqy2JVo
Saiki is a fucking cheap fuck that can stun lock you to death other wise. It's really easy to fuck over Saiki with Vice to, if you just get him i nthe corner and spam the shit out of her diving grab move.
