This I wote back in 1999 and won honable mention in the poetry contrst it was submited to it was then selected to be reprinted in their 2000 book and set to music on a tape as well. Decided to add a few of my poems to get something up. Hope you all like it.

as for submit poems I have recently found out that poetry.com the site I submitted my work is mainly a scam...yes they do publish a lot of works in their book...but the books are so expensive and from some of what I read at http://windpub.com/literary.scams/ilp.htm they might except everyone's first submitted poem and will continue accepting if you buy a book not sure on all of that but I can see some marts to what was said by a few people about them being mainly a scam to get money from people. On another not about possible publishing ops and legit contests here is a nice article I found http://windpub.com/submitting.htm
