And we're back! After doing the ref sheet last week for my Wacom practice, this week sees the return of the doodles. This started off as trying to explore some expressions to figure out what I wanted to sculpt for the new Kaynus suit, but, as usual, it ended up being a whole lot of wtf. Maybe the fact that it's nearly 10:20pm and I haven't eaten since this morning has something to do with that.
Oh, and I finally got pressure sensitivity working again, huzzah!
Fun fact! The speech bubble was originally going to say either, "Stop touching yourself!", "NO means (insert a fruit or vegetable image)", or "GET A ROOM"...but in the end the angry speech bubble with a baseball cap won out.

I tell him you make me do things and I... *blank stare*
I can sorta see your style evolving here to a point where you can turn out some incredibly psychedelic imagery that begins to become like the next Ren and Stimpy or even something Jhonen Vasquez would put out, hehe! You should definitely begin to draw more random robots with ferns and flying caviar spears.

GEEEE EYEEEE JOOOEEEEEE
Ha ha ha ha, yes, I have noticed that the truly crazy imagery does seem to show up quite a bit when I'm doing these daily sketches. :P
I think it's actually my default inspiration when I can't think of what else to do, or the second something goes wrong in a sketch (example: the off-kilter proportions and slightly broken neck of Bobblehead Kaynus Right), then it just starts to dive off the deep end of sanity. When you come over this way for FWA you will have to look through my sketchbook at some of the stupidity that has yet to escape its pages. Lulz shall be had by all.
And, just because you requested it, next time will be robots with ferns and flying caviar spears.

Ha ha ha ha ha ha, that would be the most terrifying fursuit ever created. :P Damn, it is tempting just for the sheer weird factor...
Heh, yes, ordinary speech bubbles are just so, well, normal. And boring. And clear and succinct and all that. The anthropomorphized speech bubbles are much more fun! One of the pages in my previous sketchbook has some sort of dino/reptile creature with a HUGE nose (I didn't quite know what I was going to do for the snout, so it just went odd) and I ended up having it speak in a speech bubble...which was a face that was speaking in another speech bubble, and so on and so on until the remaining page space is covered by a chain of 10 or so of the little buggers. That page still makes me laugh, ha.
