I'm kind of ashamed by how long it took me to realize that "Mr. Vernedad" was Simon.
I really love that first panel though. The perspective is interesting and the shadowing (shading? Is that the proper term for it? Help) really makes it. Tone: set.
Also Leon's last name is Henderson. Ha. That's, like, an old person's name!
Also is is weird that I want to cuddle Meier's tail? Because I really want to cuddle Meier's tail. It looks so fluffy!
