I always pictured them (and still do) as having soft, fleshy bodies, almost like Greys, and with only minor suit-interface cybernetics and immuno-boosters, and if ANY hair, only very thin, stringy bits. There's NO way all that hair from the BS stock photo fits inside those helmets.
