Mrrr! This pair of pictures pushes so MANY of wuff's "happy buttons". *grins* Wuff just wants to rear up and hug him, and feel that belly getting bigger and bigger! *Rowr*
(And if he finds he can't quite inhale more, wuff is more than willing to provide as many puffs to "help" Ralph out as they both would like! Though, Vargr's got to warn Ralph; when wuff gets that excited, the silly floof-ball gets so crazed that he don't know when to quit - not that wuff thinks Ralph cares about that. *snickers*)
Mmmm! So round, so tight, so fully inflated! More! More! Bigger! BIGGER! *grins naughtily*

Those originals certainly are wonderful! Especially for a first attempt. The whole stance, expression, everything just screams that Ralph's pushing his limits and still going for more. The tension, concentration - everything is "spot on" there!
A very good homage to those originals here! You captured all the key elements of the original, but still did it in your style. Bravo!
And yes, Ralph definitely DOES look preoccupied here. That's okay. He'll be less likely to notice this wuff wrapping his paws around that tummy as far as Vargr can reach, and enjoying the feeling of it growing larger and larger.
