... are everywhere.
A Jamaican nickel I can across. It's in good shape and has a "cousin" of one of my favorite creatures on it, a croc (although I favor gators since they live around here). Cool design, figured you folks might like it.
Sometimes I wish US money was more artistic. Same old presidents, and aside from the quarters, pretty blah designs on the back. Of course, if it was up to be, this'd be a republic under draconian rule with a dragon on the front of the money.

Aye, but not in the US. You found that awful quick, I -JUST- submitted that.
Y'all's nickels are kinda cool, although I'm fond of the 25¢, although now it's a bit of a bad reminder since I hit one of those back in Oct. Actually got a Canadian quarter in change a couple of weeks ago which is extremely rare way down here. One of the newer "grandma head" type.

Yea, don't run off too long, hehe. I was under the impression the 25¢ had an elk on it, not a caribou. Although, I could be wrong. I figure the $1s and $2 are called Loonies and Toonies because it rhymes, or the folks at the mint were a little Loony Toons in the head when they were coming up with this stuff.
Thanks! Obviously. Or like a coat of arms with a dragon on either side propped up on it like the British one with the horse & lion.
Only dragony stuff I know of is nations doing lunar year type stuff, or the St. George & the dragon type... although not as fond of that one.

Cool! I'm not as familiar with Aussie coinage, although I think they have a 2¢ piece with a frilled lizard on it (although not sure if that's still the current design). Where and what is Kiribati? Never heard of that... sounds like a dragon's name, hehe. Your cousin seems like a neat fellow.
Australia actually discontinued their 1 & 2 cent a while ago. But yes, the 2 cent did have a frilled lizard. All the designs are pretty much the same on the others as they have been for a while.
Kiribati is a very small country made up of little islands in the South Pacific. Very out of the way kind of place, but nice climate. Kiribati also uses Australian money, however they did used to make their own coins and you'll still see them there occasionally.
Yeah, he's pretty cool.

You got to go to da islands, mon. They are kinda cool, though.... I suppose if I'da been thinking, I'd posted both pics of front and back of it, although I would have upgraded the pic to mature, because part of the coat of arms design has 2 topless natives on either side of it, girl and a guy. Nice-looking design, though.
