Oh sorry, it's a nickname other British folks give people from the Wolverhampton area because of their accent. For example if I was American I would say
"You're going out tonight ain't you?"
buuut because of my accent i'd say
"Yam gooin aat t'nite ay ya mate?"
..I have a thick accent ^^;
