Trying some various costume ideas for the changed design. His dumb angry stomach face is not going to make it to the end, nor are his gloves. When I was picking and choosing I thought the ascot was kind of lame, then it hit me. It's basically a scarf. Considering his attitude I think Impmon would want a long flowy shinobi scarf.

The scarf is a nice nod to the bandana his original design had.
And I think any clothes he had would emphasize freedom of movement and minimalism.
