So
charliekit and myself have been going on back and forth over when it comes to bundling our bottoms, which diaper is better? Which padding is preferable? Which diaper is more desirable? Which nappy keeps the kit happy? The funny thing is, even after years and years of back and forth, neither side can win out.
So here is a piccie of Charlie clad in his favorite disposable diapers with a stack of his preferred paddings and me in my prefolds, pins and plastic panties and my preferred padding teasing each other like good brothers do.
We've built up quite a sibling rivalry between each other's diapering decision, going through every nuance in nappies and well, I pass it on to you.
Which is better? Cloth or disposable diapers?

I prefer disposables, usually more aborbant, plastic pants aren't required, and no fuss to put on and I like the look of them better. Not to mention, I have sensitive skin so a cloth shirt feels like sandpaper to me at times, much less a cloth diaper ^^;.
The negative of them? Cost, and impact to the environment. Especially when your a 125ft macro like myself ^^;;.

Disposable diapers. After all you don't have to worry about poking your fingers while applying the safety pins. However, I do remember that when Pampers came out with the new toddler size diapers in the early 70's, there were no tape tabs. The diapers had to be fastened by safety pins.
Well they have slightly different feels. Disposable is made from wood pulp so it can be a little rough compared to plant fibers. If you choose cloth, you are obligated to launder them, which is much easier nowadays with the advent of washing machines.
But perhaps the biggest difference is cost versus quality? Would you buy expensive disposables on a regular basis, buy cheap ones with shoddy design, or buy expensive cloth diapers that don't need to be repurchased? That also means that quality can be high because you only buy them once.
