A commissioner ordered a dragon tail with spikes down the spine, so here they are ready to be integrated into the tail when I start building it.
These are pretty clearly intended for leather work, so they take a bit of work to attach them onto metal. They've got a screw which goes through a hole in the material and into the base of the claw. Drilling the hole in the scale isn't too bad, but then I tighten them down hard enough that I can't make them move anymore, which puts a hurt on the fingers.
I did these on Sunday and of course realized later that evening that I had messed up and forgotten to get more scales of the non-black color that this commissioner wanted, so I had to order a couple packs on rush, which put a bigger hurt on my wallet than I had expected, but oh well. The alternative is waiting around for 2+ weeks for them to get to me, and I'm feeling impatient. (Also, I exactly ran myself out of the small spikes.)
For those who are curious, I get these spikes here: http://studsandspikes.com/
If you want a scale project with some of these, they're a $2 add-on for a small claw and $3 for a large one.

Happy Theoretical Answer: Yes, you could attach these onto scales in a glove. (Or use them in a normal fursuit hand, if that's the sort of thing you do.) The direction they have to screw into the scales isn't quite ideal to have them coming out of the finger tips, but I'm sure something could be worked out with enough experimentation.
Disappointing Reality Answer: Gloves are basically the only thing I won't make for someone else. It's not really feasible to make a glove that'll fit someone properly without having their hand there to build it on. I might consider it if it were feasible to make an appointment for someone to spend a few hours on a few different days with me building the glove onto their hand, or maybe if someone made a plaster cast of their hand and shipped it to me. (Though I haven't tested that the latter would actually work.)

Oh, forgot to say that. They've got a screw that tightens through the material into the base of the screw.
(edited post accordingly)
If you pushed on them hard enough they could come loose, which is why I tighten them down as hard as I can, to try to prevent that from happening.
