yay! i finally managed to get lighting down!
spheres are pretty difficult to work with believe it or not, shading and giving a realistic shine was tough.
critique away, friends!

Well here you have direct focused light beam pointed at the ball in completely dark room. You need to remember that goo/slime structure actually lets light to go through it, so the shadowed part of the ball shouldn't blend with black backdrop as the light gets refracted in the goo and gives some sort of inside glow, just a little, but still. And that ball up there just looks rocksolid or very turbid.
No offence here, just a tip. The Devil hides in details.

Art and chemistry are two different things. Goo is a non-transluscent polymer. Just because you go to private art school doesn't mean you're THE person to go to for critique. If you don't want to give -real- critique to anyone, fine, not like anybody can't live without it. He did a great job working on this, and I'm NOT one of his watchers mind you, so don't try to use that "oh you're watchers" crap on me. Most of his followers may or may not even go to art school, most of us learn through trial and error! Don't feel so high and mighty.
Not to bud in or anything but goo and slime are actualy different.
I'm a finatic about the goo n slime n latex but I did take a class were we had a section about the differences due to it being a polymer.
There's slime, which is the translusant liquid and then there's goo which is a harder substance.
Slime is like goo but not. More like a liquid.
Goo is thick and in a ball, its to thick to to look threw. Unless u thin it out.
Sorry fayy. But well they realy are different in look. ://3
