To me its just good customer service to respond to all notes. Even if its just a copy/pasted form response.
I sent her only one note, after that it was just adding a sentence to the comments I've left. Let's just say her lack of a response has seriously made me rethink rather I should or not. I love her art so much and I think her style would do my form well. . .but yeah, customer service is important too. I dunno yet. I'll keep bugging her till I get one I guess.

Well, can I offer you another perspective?
The note system on FA is VERY bad, and popular artists get anywhere from 10 to 50 notes a day.
I do, and I'm not even a fraction as popular as Falvie... she must get like 100 a day lol~
It gets REALLY difficult keeping up with all that!
She very clearly states that she doesn't like being noted about commissions, but emailed instead.
I assure you it's not anything personal, but just that she is most likely overwhelmed by people asking about commissions every day!
I just don't want you thinking it's bad customer service necessarily.
I agree with you to a degree, I think the copy pasted response is a great idea for someone with lots of incoming messages, but she seems to be overall nice, her turnaround time is good, and she seems to communicate with actual paid customers rather well.
Don't be scared away just from that, be patient and try to snag a spot when she opens up next time ;3

I definitely appreciate your time and well thought out responses. I agree with you that the note system here could use work. I didn't see her email listed anywhere, but its probably this dragon being blind (happens a lot, lol). I think the only way I could handle any more than 4 or 5 notes a day would be if I did form responses and if I did art for my living. Seeing as I work full time in a customer service centric job I definitely would not have time to do even what you do.
Thank you for offering me another way of thinking about it. I will admit, Falvie is only the most recent one to not respond to me. I've went around to probably half a dozen artists in the past year of which most never responded back to me, so I never commissioned them. This is the first time someone has taken the time to explain why to me, and I appreciate it.

Well, besides what pornography said, Falvie also clearly states on her profile to please not note her for commissions. Just a heads up!
The exact wording I read was something along the lines of "notes are for customers only" or something along those lines. Does that include potential customers? I didn't know, so I took a risk to send one. I appreciate you bringing this up, as there have been many times I've missed things like this ^_^.
