OMFG, you two are still some of the hawtest ponies imaginable... It's definitely for the best that you live in Europe/Germany; otherwise I'd have a trailer and some strapping men ... *ahem* "obtain" a pair of very, very, very sexy beasts for my own labors and training. ;)
Actually I am almost 50 and was in my late 30s when the photo was shot, so... as you can see silly shenanigans is not a question of age. And I couldn't care any less if my current haircut (ponytail and sides shaved) pleases my boss or not - I do my job and I am not even half bad at it.
Frankly said: I grew up in the 70s and 80s, when the only internet I knew off was from the movie "War Games". I got in touch with other silly people through magazine ads. My priviledge was to be open towards people outside my "usual" peer group. And make friends with them over time. And there is no age limit for that nor is it too late to start with it.

To be honest I am not so much concerned as to how old you believe I might be.
I am more concerned about how you treat yourself and value yourself. You see some dudes having fun and your first thought is "oh, they don't know how good they have it, if only I was younger"?
Man! Be more kind to yourself. We don't do exceptional stuff because it is being dropped into our laps. We work hard for months even years to get to the point. These things grow from dedication and from love for detail. Not from young age.
Give yourself some slack. And enjoy the chances you have today instead of crying about missed opportunities in the past.
