Oboras are jackelopes, but opposite from the more rabbit bodied myth.
Deer body, rabbit ears, and only males have horns.
Also their toes spread in order to climb rocks where they live,
and across the desert on the other side of the mountain. (in my sotry in book 2)
Inside tip: The Wild Jackelopes from Dea (like Kazeku) ride these.

The knee is pretty much on the same line as the belly and bends back at a much wider angle.
