Traditional media commission for 
shimmortal that I began when he was visiting in January, and I today poked and prodded again until I decided that it was finished. The fawks doin' some violence.
Looks much snazzier in person, documenting real media is so hard to do. All my photographs of it were fail so I scanned and pieced it together, but the scanner predictably pulled the colors apart a bit. :|

Mannn I feel like I get less detail into traditional work actually, since I can't zoom in and be all OCD about refining it exactly the way I want to. But I'm glad to hear you say so, makes me feel more confident about my traditional fare. Natural texture from the paint/pencil/surface it certainly does get though, and I have always loved that aspect of real media. <3
