Its nice you have some of his "Proper" features in there, but you've also done it in your own style; which is always good to develop.
It's funny that the only subtle hint Napther is overweight is the pudgy-looking armour plates between his arm and leg...
Im guessing when you say "love the claws" it is in reference to how you drew them yourself, and not Napther's own?
