Well, tattoo needles don't necessarily invoke the same fear as normal needles, oddly. Not saying you should take a tattoo, but I noticed this when both me and my tattoo-artist were needle-phobic but after I realized what it felt like I wasn't nervous at all, so it's strange :D

How does it feel, then? 0: I imagine it at least stings. Blood test or morphine needles are not fun at all, this I know. I though I once remember having a vaccination done back in high school and I didn't even feel the needle at all. The nurse asked me to talk about my weekend to take my mind off it, and I was talking for ages til I turned and saw that she had already done it and was waiting for me to leave. I forgot what the jab was for though.

Well I think the closest comparison I could come up with is someone rubbing slightly sunburned skin with an electric toothbrush (noise is correct at least). Because it's not like one huge needle inserted in your skin, it's a tiny short needle in this pen-like thing that does constant small poking just under the skin so there's pretty much nothing similar to getting an injection, at least in the psychological/look department since you don't even see the needle.
So yeah, it was couple hours of being bit uncomfortable but basically I just grabbed a magazine and read the whole time.
