Little confused by this. It is interesting to read, but I feel kind of like I need more back story to fill in why the sudden change in the main character going from wishing the person would be gone to kissing the guy.

Just curious -- how did you get to this from "breaking news"? To me, it reads more like it was inspired by "the prayer."

Nah, it's just my weirdness seeping through. XD Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. I was going through several ideas, and this one just struck me as the best one to follow. My train of thought was something like this: you always see little scenes like this walking down the street or going to pick up milk or whatever, and you never find out the story behind them; they just happen. This is like one of those, with someone outside trying to fill in details, but stopping once their view of the story is disrupted by the unexpected event.

I loved Otto... he was quite vivid in my mind. I didn't actually know what to mkae of him... but it's pretty obvious that Marie is trapped emotionally.

Wierd... sure... but so am I.
