Part 2/2 of a gradient-shaded comish for

RakurRykaran

RakurRykaran - this time a sponsored commission of a desert phoenix for myself since the forest phoenix is for Rykaran. ^^

I love how the shades/colours turned out on this one - playing around with some feather-shading techniques. Also some texture practice.

Frame effect background just for hecks.

I like it, those feathers take time, but the angle of the left wing (right side for us) seems alittle dramatic, like the shoulder is being pulled out of its socket.

Thanks! Yeah, that angle was hard to get - I was actually trying to reference a picture of a parrot, but the bright green plumage was hard to see through.

A phoenix that is a desert look dirty gold as bright if not iridescent color tones of blue and aqua, I lie the tribal background symbols in that encircle in the flat color.

Yep. ^^ Well, all of my backgrounds except for when otherwise specified, (like when I use a photo bg,) I make myself - I just mix and overlap a bunch of stock textures and colours, hehe. ^^
