So I picked this bike up today. It's a Falcon Adventurer Hybrid Cycle. It's been left outside for a long time and as such needs all new gear and brake cables inners and outers. Needs new bottom bracket bearings too but for a free bike I think it's a nice one and nothing I can;t fix within a couple hours. Tires are good and holding air. It needs a very good clean as the salty sea air seems to have deposited salt all over it.
This one has some nice accessories too, a shopping rack, mudguards/fenders, the seat post has a built in suspension system and the handlebars can be adjusted for height.

I sell them quite cheaper. Some I have sold for less than their actual value but sometimes I get lucky and don;t need to buy any new parts and if I do buy parts it's usually just brake/gear cables if I need them. So really no matter what I sell them on for I get a profit. A few I have broke even on and those were one's I purchased used for myself to use, got bored with them and felt like a change so sold them.
This bike doesn't roll backwards cause the chain has rusted solid. So I'll cut it off with my hacksaw. I learned the hard way it isn't a good idea to use a chain splitting/rivet extractor/de linker on rusty, seized chains cause it tends to break the tool. I think I may be able to salvage at least some of the cables. But it definitely needs outer cables.
