I saw this fellow in the pages of "Heavy Metal" magazine many years ago. I thought it was a Barney parody at the time. Now it all makes sense!

In heavy metal magazine ? I wonder why he was there. But yes, he was done a few years before Barney, but outside of french speaking area and a few others country he's pretty well unknow.

It was a comic portraying him as a space alien who stumbles into the tv show job. Heavy Metal reprints a lot of material from it's French counterpart.

Je pense que ça doit être du au fait qu'a la télé on le voyait pas mal entouré d'enfants et qu'on a jamais trop fais attention à comparer sa taille avec les autres adultes de l'émission.

Yes, he was one of my childhood hero, and it was really weird for me to finally see him after so many years, and to get the chance to have a pic done with him and me wearing Mousey. I hope I'll be able to meet him again someday :)
