Ballpoint pen is kind of satisfying. And I produced the green just by blending the blue pen lines with a yellow highlighter (which picks up darker inks really well). I think if I would have used higher quality ink pens it ironically wouldn't have blended as well. ballpoint ink is designed not to soak into the page so you can write on both sides, and as a consequence takes a minute or so to dry, making it readily blend-able.

I haven't done any ball point pen drawing or coloring in some years now. You're really inspiring me to buy a pack and try it all again. :)
