From back in January, here's a bearded vulture/spotted hyena griffin. Charognard is the name I've come up with for her, and maybe I'll do more with her in a bit. Here she's knocking a tasty, tasty mountain goat off a sheer precipice so she can swing back and eat it later.

Well, that's one simple way to get the job done. As previously noted, this would make for an interesting encounter. Imagine the party's confusion as a goat nearly crushes the (insert archetype here), only to be followed by an angry... demigriffon(?), intent on defending her kill.
I've seen footage of golden eagles doing that to stuff too big for them to tackle easily (since adult wolves from smaller subspecies qualify as "things golden eagles can tackle," this has to be a size or angle of approach thing) - knock something off the mountain, circle 'round, come back. It seemed like a good match for bearded vultures, who drop bones to shatter them sometimes.
