Indeed! His features all come together really well, and I have to say I'm quite a fan of feathered wings.
Oh yay, that sounds awesome to be given the chance to meet amazing artists. If I ever get the chance to travel to more northern parts of the world, I'm hoping I'll be able to also, at some point. ^_^

I don't usually have a sexual attraction to male figures, but I would be gay for your character. ;P of course, Alector's beautiful rendering doesn't help. ;)
I like his design better than Anubis (at least the way Anubis is typically drawn, anyway). Not just the wings but I think the maned long tail gives him a lot more personality.

Another thing I do to differentiate myself from that stereotyped Anubis picture is,
that I hardly wear any jewelery or the typical headdress. What I absolutely avoid
is to show me with Ankhs or Was-scepter, since those are significant marks of Anubis.
Instead I have my bandages, which represent my protection goddess Neith,
the goddess of weaving.
Another thing I do to differentiate myself from that stereotyped Anubis picture is,
that I hardly wear any jewelery or the typical headdress. What I absolutely avoid
