One person being hacked doesn't equate to the entire site being hacked...

When where the passwords leaked?

There is a list of hacked passwords floating out there that is two years old, but this is not related to my knowledge. We're looking into it right now.

I believe Lonefox and Tincrash's accounts were hacked as well.

I don't know if this is related or if someone was simply able to crack thier passwords independently.

Regardless, it is good protocol to go ahead and change ones password in the meantime. To something strong with letters, numbers and upper and lowercase characters.

Just a follow-up:

Metal's account was returned to the user after I verified his identity. After talking to the user, I don't beleive this was a random hacking simply due to site security.

The person who fucked with Metal created an alternate account and posted some mocking images up to trash Metal. They have been appropriately banninanted and the images removed.

Did the guy with the alternate account mangage to break the rules and have the same username as Metal's??? or was it another username or some stupid "Anti-Metal Club"?

I didn't know this happend to Metal anyway I hope more people don't get this.

Psh, if there is a person cracking passwords, I dare him/her to crack mine. Most people who get their accounts cracked have passwords like "password", "god", or "monkey". Go to your local library or school and....well I wont say it but you know where Im going with this =P
