Terms of Service: Artist and customer
Thank you for your consideration!
Here is where I clearly define what you can expect from me, and what I expect from you! This is to avoid discrepancies down the road, and make your commission experience as smooth as possible :}.
You can note me here or email me at erillustration@gmail.com
As the artist:
+I promise to give contacts so that any questions or concerns can be sent my way.
+I have the right to request 50% of payment after verification of your commission/sketch. This ensures your commitment to the piece, and promise you will not rip me off by disappearing.
+I reserve my right to display the art for promotion or marketing, be it online or in person. I will never look to profit from these images without permission from the commissioner.
+Essentially I will never misuse the image you purchased from me, though I am allowed to edit them later if I feel corrections are necessary in case I want to use it for my portfolio or some such.
+I am allowed to turn down a commission from the start or in progress if I am harassed, threatened, unpaid. I'm a person, so just be level with me. I'm really easy going and work hard for you. Please give me the same respect.
As the customer
+ You promise to not complain unreasonably about your personal failure to be involved. I will generally attempt to reach people throughout the progress of a piece minimum of 2 times, be it through notes or furc messages--- but if you don't contact me back, you have yourself to blame.
+ You are at full right to tell me things I missed in your piece from start to end. You are NOT allowed to completely change the idea/concept we agree on after the 50% agreement payment, unless in extreme cases (these would need to be discussed on basis as they come). Adjustments are acceptable.
+ You are allowed to request in work progress if I have been slow to do so myself.
+ You are granted only partial rights to a commission, saying you are allowed to display the work with proper credit/copyright to me. Anywhere the work is displayed will use the watermarked version. The un-watermarked version is for your personal enjoyment alone. This protects you and I from theft of art or your character.
+ You are never allowed to resell my work unless you approach me with the purpose of doing so (as in you tell me this at the start), and pay the proper price for complete copyright (that will be expensive). In turn, as stated above, I will also never sell images of your characters/logos without permission.
You are allowed to request your commission be private and kept from the public.
+ Cancellation is always allowed, but the percentage of completed work will be subtracted from your advance payment. If you cancel before we discuss the sketch and lock the commission in place, then you are not required to pay. This is called a “kill fee” and protects the artists time they invest into a single work. Verification of the progress/discussion of the amount desired will happen on a cancellation basis.
Thanks in advance. :D

xD
I would totally be interested!
What are your exact price range?? Cause I wanted to get a pic of a couple for a friend lol
I'm willing to barter right now, but I'd say a full colored couple image depending on the difficulty could range from 45-75. Less if it isn't that crazy. Note me with what you'd be after and I'll be glad to work out something with you. :} In the meantime, I will work out some rates like a good artist. Derp.
