I Want to Survive the Zombie Apoc-Fur-Lypse (updated)
Name: Marcus Fair
Race: Human
Gender: Male
Age: 21
Occupation: Unemployed, was a photographer
Greatest success: Discovering his love for taking pictures (capturing images)
Greatest failure: Becoming distanced from his friends and doing nothing about it – caused by an argument about humans and other races in his final year of school
Sexual preference: Not interested in relationships at the moment
What does he think about life: He hasn’t made the most of it so far but wants to change that - He is happy with his current way of life but aspires to better it
What does your character have worth living for: Finding his friends and apologising – wanting to build a career around photography – Finding true happiness, though what and where it is still eludes him
Ideal death: Caught in an explosion?
Interesting quirk: Marcus can defend his views strongly, even when they tend towards the controversial side. Quietly passionate.
Hobbies: Horror films / games
Physical: 5 foot 6, nimble build
Clothing: white collared shirt un-tucked and over blue jeans. Trainers, depending on the weather he wears a light black zipped jacket without a hood.
Precursor to event: He finds out his mum is gravely ill and needs to desperately scrape the money together to buy plane tickets to fly abroad to see her. She needs the moral support since they had always been close (he is an only child).
Marcus has lived in Anyton for around 2 years. Before that he lived with his mum and Dad in the UK. Marcus had an uneventful childhood. He went to school, made some friends and experienced new things...
An argument with his friends in his final year of school changed his perspectives slightly. Wanting to prove to himself that he could mature and become more independent he delayed going to Uni in favour of a trip abroad...
In Anyton Marcus intially struggles to find work or a place to stay. After some persistance, luck and intelligence he is able to get both... but is alone.
Situation just before event: On his way to the the airport to return to the UK. He’s got his camera round his neck walking along the street, nervous because of the gravity of the situation. She might not have much time, and if she were to die in the near future it could cause him to fall into manic depression (feeling that his absence contributed to her death). He sees a commotion ahead of him, but can’t quite make it out from where he is so he uses his camera’s zoom to get a better look, a moment later he wishes he hadn’t.
Attitude and mannerisms: thinks logically, slightly cynical yet optimistic / realistic. Tries to find the best in people, but keeps his mouth shut if there isn’t anything worth saying. Empathetic, yet he doesn’t know why. Wishes sometimes that he didn’t feel so much about people he hasn’t even met.

FA+

might want to reassess the Awareness trait though, as it sounds like he's a lot more perceptive than an 'average' individual.
