I really -really- do wish there was a way to specify if you wanted to watch someone's journals or not. There are a number of artists I love, but dear god, they flood my journal inbox with crap, and there's no way to scroll past journals to get the old ones that might be important without deleting everything in front, and...

You're comparing changing a number from 4 to 8 or copy pasting a block of code to (re)code a feature from the ground up.

Even so, priorities are priorities, no matter how big or small the tasks might be. As far as I'm concerned, having a basic feature set on such a highly used site should be an EXTREMELY high priority, certainly higher than throwing videos all over.

Let's talk priorities. A priority of a task can be defined as factor of it's importance, time required to complete it and the amount of people that would benefit - or to put it mathematically: priority = (importance*people_that_benefit) / time. The less time it takes to do something the more the reason to have it done now and not have it linger for a month, especially if it makes people happy.

Imagine yourself in a need to ask your friend a simple yes or no question, and your friend is occupied with something at the moment. Will you stand around all day and wait for him to finish before asking, or will you ask your question now and be on your way? FIFO doesn't work in real life.

Because YouTube's content is mature rated. Images can allow people to embed gore, RL porn and other issues that are a nightmare to control, and can violate laws and many site rules.

A: Because YouTube videos follow a fairly strict quality guideline as far as acceptable content. Since journals can not be rated for mature/adult, too many people would either post mature work, RL porn (unacceptable on FA) or other images that can potentially violate FA policies.

How soon can have option to block journals like on DA? Because I don't want to see stuff like this when there other better things to post about. Much I don't care for DA, but at least you have option of not receive the journals. By way nuke journal maybe good, but it makes you feel like a bad person for not reading them. I hope we get that option soon enough for that. There days prefer not to read journals and just look at pictures. I hope one day you come up with option, instead of nuke button only.

I'm just agitated by "comissions" journals. Now if there were a way an artist could specifically tag those and you could opt-into or opt-out of them, that'd be great.
