TERMS OF SERVICE
By buying from me, you agree to my Terms of Service, so please read carefully!
-Note me with your commission, and include references(or if there are none, a full written description) as well as any other important details. The more I have to work with, the better I can make the image for you!
-Once the details of a commission are agreed on, I will give you a personal quote for your image, and ask you for your paypal and preferred e-mail addresses so I can send you an invoice for your transaction.
-I will SIGN every image, usually in the bottom right or left hand corner. You may not crop my signature out of any image for any reason unless I have given you explicit written permission to do so.
-Images will be completed according to our agreement, then a downsized version will be posted to my online galleries, and/or the fullsize image e-mailed out to you at your request.
-Payment must be made upfront and through PayPal.
-Please do not ask me to do "sample" sketches for free. I need to be paid for all time spent on your commission, and this includes sketches to flesh out ideas. If I did it for free, I wouldn't be around long!
-Any invoices sent will have an estimated date of completion included in the transaction terms, I will contact you personally if your commission needs to be delayed for any reason.
-Commissions costing more than $100 may be paid half up-front, and half after approval of the WIP sketch.
-Once noted, I will update my journal and put your name in the next available slot. I will add slots if the ones I've got fill up, depending on the complexity of my current workload.
-I reserve the right to refuse any commission for any reason before payment is made.
-I reserve the right to cancel any commission on the basis of abuse or if the customer breaches the Terms of Service. In this case, a refund may be given that reflects the amount of work outstanding on the commission.
-Any customer may request that their commission be anonymous when posted to the site.
-Any customer may request that their commission not be posted to the public. This may be subject to an additional cost at my discretion.
-I reserve the right to post your commission to any site or community that I am a member of. I will not sell your commissioned image or characters to any third party.
-You do not own the rights to your commissioned image. As the artist, the rights remain my property unless other arrangements are agreed upon.
-You may post your commissioned image on any of your accounts so long as I am explicitly credited for the image.
-I will not sell adult art to anyone under the age of majority. You must be 18 or older to buy adult art from me. I may refuse to take commissions from anyone under 16 for legal reasons, particularly if it is a high-dollar transaction.
-All listed pricing is in Canadian Dollars. Payments are to be made in CAD unless other arrangements are made.
-I am not required to lower my pricing for any reason. Lowered/sale prices may be arranged in some cases, but will be at my discretion.
-You may request a WIP image for any commission quoted at $100 or greater.
-You are entitled to one WIP sketch per qualified commission. All changes/alterations are to be made based on this WIP. Additional WIPs/changes may be arranged, but it will be at my discretion and may cost extra.
-You may not harass, bully, slander, disrespect, or otherwise inappropriately contact me. Doing so may be cause for refusal/cancellation of service without discussion.
-You may not harass, bully, slander, disrespect, or otherwise inappropriately contact my customers anywhere in my gallery or on my profile. Doing so may be cause for refusal of service. You may also be blocked, and your inappropriate messages removed.
-You may not ask me to violate the FurAffinity TOS, SA, or AUP while on the site. If you would like something that is not permitted on this site, please contact me via e-mail.
-I will not draw any copy-written characters as part of a commission. I also will not draw the property of other independent artists as part of a commission without their permission. All characters must be of either your own property, or mine.
-You may request that any of my personal characters be portrayed in your commissioned image, but this will be at my discretion.
-I am completely willing to design new characters for you as part of your commission, but I will retain the rights to the character unless other arrangements are agreed upon. Creating new characters is generally done at no extra charge.
-You may not claim credit or responsibility for any of my work unless you have fairly obtained the rights from me in advance.
-You may not re-post my work as your own.
-You may not publish or resell any of my work unless you have fairly obtained the rights from me in advance.
Thank you for reviewing my TOS!

I think you're right about my pricing, and I appreciate you taking the time to give me feedback on it. It needs to be re-evaluated. To be honest, I have to work very long hours most(or every) day a week to make a reasonable living with my prices the way they are now. For that reason alone, I've been considering raising my pricing, but I haven't decided yet what is most reasonable. I want to provide a broad range of pricing, so I may leave certain options the way they are(the portrait special for example) and I might include digital sketches as a cheaper option as well when I raise pricing. I would still be asking what the work is REALLY worth, but I would be providing those on a budget with options and I wouldn't have to work 4 hours to make 25 dollars.
I also appreciate that you looked at this from a business perspective. It's true that by doing this I sorely cheapen the industry, and to be honest I never expected to have the sway that I do now, so I didn't think it would have this much of an effect. That said, it just isn't fair to everyone else for me to sell as cheaply as I do. For that reason, if nothing else, I SHOULD revamp my prices.
All this said, I could use some advice as to what more reasonable pricing would be, and if you have the time I would love to discuss it with you more specifically. Either via notes, or e-mail, aim, msn... Whatever you prefer and can spare the time for. I never took any sort of business course, or even went through any schooling at all for art, so I'm not formally trained, and I'm unfortunately a bit unaware of the standard. ^^'
