Why Support Clean Fursuiting?
Once again,
This group is NOT to offend or put down those who own SPH fursuits.
Instead, it is to promote and celebrate the use of Clean Fursuiting, as well as fursuit care.
If you have a SPH suit, do the public and your audience a favor and keep it private.
Bringing a SPH suit in a public setting is like using a toy rocket ship as a dildo, washing it, bringing it out in public and letting children play with it. It's "clean" but that doesn't make it right. And if the public found out what that "rocket ship" was used for they would be upset.
At cleanfursuits we promote the idea of fursuit performance.
When you are in suit, you're always "on stage". Unless you're fursuiting completely alone, there is an audience. That audience has expectations of you, based on the character you are playing.
The public already has a low opinion on furries and fursuits. They think every costume the fandom has is used for sexual activity. When I suit, I try my best to show them that it's NOT about sex, it's about having fun and making people smile. There is a joy to it, a rush you get when you are in costume and no one knows who you are. You can express yourself in ways you never could before, and bring smiles to people who never would have given you a second glance.
A second point is why spend $2000+ on a beautiful work of art, and not take care of it? Not only is an unbrushed and unwashed fursuit ugly to look at, it's unpleasant to the touch and smell too.
We also promote the idea of proper fursuit care, and you can find a very thorough and useful guide on keeping your suit clean HERE.
If any of our watchers or supporters have any ideas they would like us to address, please note us or comment with suggestions.
Thank you!

I have a clean suit and despise SPH suits, but a LOT OF SUITERS that have SPH suits do go to public settings with it LOL

Regardless of whether the fact that it's a "sex toy" is visible or not, it's the idea behind it that makes it wrong.
so in order to take the under armor off, you'd have to take the fursuit off first which really defeats the purpose.
In my honest opinion peeing in fursuit is about as gross as having sex in it. I wouldn't touch a fursuit that the owner has gone to the bathroom in, lots of germs plus the possibility of getting urine on the suit... it's really not worth it in my opinion. Especially if you spent a lot of money on the fursuit.
People are most certainly allowed to do with their suits what they want.
We are just promoting the CLEAN side here.
Which includes using the bathroom, I really don't think that's a clean thing to do in suit.
do not want.
ever. D:<
Agreed. Well stated. My view: if no one can tell you have a zipper, and you don't go around flaunting it, who really gives a crap. Ignorance is bliss.
Just because you're hiding it from someone doesn't make it okay. In fact, I think that mindset is really inconsiderate in itself. It's like handing someone a napkin you claim is clean, when you know you just rubbed it on your butt. The person may not know about it, but if it's something they wouldn't like had they known, then why do it?
I"m make a a customer a costume coming up for a local event. He requested a crotch zipper because getting the whole damn costume off is a process and he has no handeler. does this amke him wrong or perverted? No, it makes him practical.
As for the fetish aspect of it, I believe it has nothing to do with hygiene. My customer asked for a crotch zipper and I know for a fact he's not yiffy. I also Know alot of yiffy type suits that are kept cleaner than most peoples bed sheets.
I'm hard core agenst people bashing another group of people. This includes fetishes. You may not be yiffy, or kinky but it doesn't mean those people who are are wrong/gross/weird/hurting anyone. Or deserve to be picked on by the rest of the community for their honest urges. Let's face it Furries are NOT high in the social standing right now, who are we to pick apart on each other over something as asinine as a zipper, or more importantly life choices.
No one said anyone was perverted. If you saw that, then that's your issue. I just said I don't want someone to have to touch someone else's sex toy. That's all. I wouldn't use mine for that, but that doesn't mean I find someone who does repulsive or perverted. It's just their deal. Doesn't mean we can't be cool because of it. So I have no idea where this 'bashing' you say is happening. As I have friends who use their suits for sex. So again...
I'm just saying, I'd rather not touch ANYTHING someone's used for sex or while having sex. I've been known to not get in a car if I know I'll have to use the backseat of a person who is known to have sex in the car. I don't find them perverted or wrong. I just don't want to sit somewhere someone's had sex. I don't like it. I'm a germaphobe that way. That includes fursuits, beds, couches, shoes, random spoons. Everything. I don't want to touch something that could very well have someone's nasty bits on it. If you're cool with it, more power to ya.
But the crotch isn't the only affected area. You and I both know that.
I mean, if you want to have sex in your suit, more power to ya, I'm not about to sit here and call you a bad person, or call you weird. Some of us can have some REALLY MESSED fetishes, so if you're into that, cool. I am not, but that doesn't mean I can't be cool with someone who is.
But on the same hand, you can also be cool with it and still not want to touch or handle someone's sex toy. It's like the girl who brings a dildo to a party and claims it's new and just for said party as a prank/lulz/what have you. I still am not touching that if it gets played with or passed around. Doesn't mean I hate the person or find them repulsive, it's that I really rather not handle something with someone else's bodily fluids on them. It's gross. I wouldn't stick my hand in a cum bucket. Doesn't mean I think they're nasty, but the bodily fluid is what I find repulsive.
I also don't understand paying THAT much for something only to get it dirty. But again, I just won't do it. But COME ON. If my son walked up to some big ole bear fursuiter and got a hug, and I later found out that suit was used for sex, clean or not I'm decking that guy in the face. It's fucking gross. It just is. You may be completely comfortable with your body's mess, so may your friends or mate, but that doesn't mean everyone is. And it's unfair to subject someone to that without warning whether they outwardly know or not.
That hiding and sneaking stuff is what ticks me off. If you feel the need to hide the fact you have sex in a suit, then you shouldn't have it in public.
1. Your dildo analogy is flawed. A dildo cannot he easily hidden or passed off as something else. A well-maintained and properly cleaned fursuit with hidden, discreet openings, however, would never be suspected as being used for extracurricular activities.
2. I strongly feel that as long as someone who chooses to use their suit for naughty things keeps said suit in good, clean, disinfected condition, and all 'accessories' are well hidden from view, that they should be able to wear said suit anywhere they'd like. It's one thing to wear a dirty, dingy suit with obvious modifications in public; it is quite another to wear a clean one with hidden implements. I view it as thought policing and an invasion of privacy to tell someone they can't wear a suit in public just because of how they choose to use it.
3. Fursuits are expensive. I don't know a lot of people that would be able to buy a second suit just to use in the bedroom, if that's something they like to do. This would be exponentially more expensive than keeping one suit clean, not to mention (if the person has one character) the likelihood of the suit builder wanting to duplicate a suit.
I hope that you can take my thoughts into consideration. I'm not trying to tell you how to run your group...however, I do believe it is more than a bit discriminatory to try and exclude some furries from public places just because they use their suits differently.
Let's say there's a plushophile with a cute Simba plushie that has been modified for sex. There is a hole in the back of it, but it can be covered up. Once the plushie has been modified, it is now a SEX TOY. Yes, it is still a plushie too, that hasn't changed, but it is now also a sex toy.
Maybe he cleans the toy really well, but is it still appropriate for him to give it to his niece/nephew to play with? A stranger? His child? I would have to say no.
It is unclean. You will never wash yourself of the sin.
I think it says something about a person who thinks as long as I don't know that, it's fine.
I'll hug anyone; I don't care if they have germs on them, or even cooties. ^-^

The same thing applies to fursuits. A fursuit with a SPH is still a fursuit, yes, but it also becomes a sex toy. And taking that around people who are unsuspecting is rude, at best.
Still, bringing your murrsuit out in public and interacting with children/people is STILL the same thing as bringing a modified plushie/sex toy out in public and letting people touch/play with it. It may be clean, it may be covered up, but it is still the same concept.
If people have murrsuits in their private home/bedroom or at private parties at cons? That is perfectly A-okay. As long as people are aware of what it is there is no issue. We are not against SPH fursuiters here. It's the act of bringing it out around unsuspecting people and children that we are against.
Especially if the murrsuiter in question has easily accesible adult content online. What happens when "X Wolf" wears a badge of his character out in public and curious parents google him later to find pictures and videos of him masturbating with the very paws he was high-fiving their kids with earlier? Some of that content is as easily accessible as Tumblr! It is very possible that a parent could run into that, and "X Wolf" could be taken to court!
So we are against very real issues here. We are not against murrsuiters because it is "gross" or "wrong".
I hope this makes sense to you.
Thank you for your time.
Personally, I hate kids and don't want them anywhere near me, especially when I'm wearing a big expensive fragile fursuit.
1) The presence of bodily fluids
2) The fact that the fursuit part was used during sex
I... I can't. I just can't. I can't even.
Your attitude is problematic and you really need to educate yourself, poopoo-prince. You are contributing to the oppression of... Hmm... (*whispers*) which group, minority or otherwise, can I use as a tool to justify my position to shut them up? Black people? No... Trans-folk? Women?
OH! I KNOW!
WON'T SOMEONE PLEASE THINK OF THE CHILDREN!!! *faints*
wow so sexy right
*Bandcamp, someone dipping their cup in the cooler to get ice*
Friend: GET YOUR MASTURBATIN' HANDS OUTTA THE WATER!! D:<
Just reminded me of that xD
I'm 100000% okay with SPH/murrsuits! Hell yeah do you, I couldn't because asthma. But I also think you should have an entire different suit for your sexual acts. Because it is nice to other people to just not romp around in a suit that got jizzed on a week ago.
Leave the kink things in the bed room guys. It's not hard.
1- A dildo is only used as a sex toy. A fursuit with a SPH can be used as a "sex toy, (even if i see it as clothing) or to prance around at a con beying all happy.
2- Did you ever have sex while wearing a shirt, or pants... better through those in the sextoy drawer, cause its a sex toy now.
3- If a suit is washed and then worn around a con, is it any worse then someone shaking my hand after i jerked off this morning, then washed my hand in the shower?
You guys are overreacting on things and are silently bashing murrsuiters that have just one bodysuit.
Dont get me wrong, i rather see two bodysuits, and i deffo want people to wash their suits after suiting OR sex, but if someone washes a suit who cares if it walks a con afterward.
Like i said, i should keep a few pants and shirts out of the publics reach allso, since i cant say all my sexual adventures have been fully naked"
