so in order to take the under armor off, you'd have to take the fursuit off first which really defeats the purpose.

In my honest opinion peeing in fursuit is about as gross as having sex in it. I wouldn't touch a fursuit that the owner has gone to the bathroom in, lots of germs plus the possibility of getting urine on the suit... it's really not worth it in my opinion. Especially if you spent a lot of money on the fursuit.

I understand both sides of the issue, as I have at least one friend into the bedroom side of fursuiting, but when you're in public, especially at cons where you may be interacting with people inside and outside the event that are new to furry or don't know what it is, we want to make our first impression a good one. When people call furries nasty things because they think we're all perverts, wearing what amounts to a bedroom toy in public doesn't help us change their minds. If a parent let's their child interact with a fursuiter they shouldn't have to worry about what the performer was using it for earlier, whether or not the parent is savvy to that side of the fandom. I wish it could be a more official rule for all fursuiters to keep their costumes separate for public and private use, but I can understand how some people might have issues with this if they can only afford one suit and want to use it for... everything. It's a free country, but we should try to be conscientious of others' feelings and personal boundaries.

THIS. Oh god, this. It SHOULD be a rule at cons and such - no "sexy time" suits allowed, period. At the VERY least, none of those suits out in the public areas. If it's found that you've been running around in one of these suits at the con/event/whatever, you aren't allowed to wear it, period. If you're found still wearing it, you get evicted from the con, and possibly banned. First off, I would like to say that I can see what you're trying to say here, and I see no problems with what you mean. However, I feel that it's necessary to make a few points:

1. Your dildo analogy is flawed. A dildo cannot he easily hidden or passed off as something else. A well-maintained and properly cleaned fursuit with hidden, discreet openings, however, would never be suspected as being used for extracurricular activities.

2. I strongly feel that as long as someone who chooses to use their suit for naughty things keeps said suit in good, clean, disinfected condition, and all 'accessories' are well hidden from view, that they should be able to wear said suit anywhere they'd like. It's one thing to wear a dirty, dingy suit with obvious modifications in public; it is quite another to wear a clean one with hidden implements. I view it as thought policing and an invasion of privacy to tell someone they can't wear a suit in public just because of how they choose to use it.

3. Fursuits are expensive. I don't know a lot of people that would be able to buy a second suit just to use in the bedroom, if that's something they like to do. This would be exponentially more expensive than keeping one suit clean, not to mention (if the person has one character) the likelihood of the suit builder wanting to duplicate a suit.

I hope that you can take my thoughts into consideration. I'm not trying to tell you how to run your group...however, I do believe it is more than a bit discriminatory to try and exclude some furries from public places just because they use their suits differently.
