WARNING: POSTING A *facepalm* IN THIS THREAD WILL GET YOUR ACCOUNT PERMABANNED: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1002540/
I know because they just permabanned my other account for it.
I know because they just permabanned my other account for it.
Your excuses are also bullshit. One of the submissions was posted before the "no screenshot" rule, and the other was not in violation of any FA policies.
And No, I don't troll FA. Not with that account or any other.
And finally, OMFG, ASCII FACEPALM IS A "HARASSING IMAGE!" That's totally deep man... would probably never have thought of that without your glorious insight.
No, really, I mean that.
and there's absolutely no clause in it which can qualify an ASCII facepalm as harassment.
In fact, there's nothing in it that can qualify ANYTHING that's not directed at a particular individual or group of individuals as harassment!
No matter how you try and spin it, posting a facepalm in the root of a FURRYDRAMALOL thread is not harassment.
I think you have your answer.

Thanks,
d.
a picture of a full-back babyfur tattoo might, though.
I mean it sure disrupted my enjoyment of FA.
Sorry if it doesn't meet up with your particular definitions, but those are the definitions of this site, that is something that you are going to have to live with as long as you continue to use this place.
and as I mentioned in the other post you so gracefully deleted from that thread, it was a facepalm, met with a permaban, in contrast to all manner of slander and harassment other people were throwing around there and only getting posts deleted. The worst I saw was a 24 hour suspension, on an obvious trolling account. Wow. Talk about double standards. You should go work for dA - you'd fit right in with the DD porno selection team who bans people for posting scantily clad furry art.
I really don't give a damn that you shot yourself in the foot. I'm not your doctor. I'm just the one laughing at you.
dude, get over it, believe it or not the facepalm may have made the person with the tattoo feel uncomfortable, i means lets face it, the facepalm means you weren't ok with it, and when people are not ok with a lifestyle it makes those involved feel uncomfortable. plus there was a thumbnail of the image of the tattoo, you didn't NEED to go into it did you?
If everyone who posted any comment that made anyone feel uncomfortable got permabanned from FA...
actually, come to think of it, that would mean no more babyfurs or dogfuckers... I might be ok with this.
keep in mind here, main theme "dont click things you know you wont like" thats a common sense thing.
thats why FA has thumbnails on images, so people know what its about before the click it.
i mean, even the: is that because babyfurs have "Sensutiv feeleengz"?
that was pretty ignorant and bigoted bub. another prime example of what the peace keepers looked at, you obviously dont see it.
His tatoo makes ME feel uncomfortable! It makes me ASHAMED to be called a furry. What about my rights not to be associated with that? I don't like having to recite a list of caveats a mile long when being a furry is brought up. "I might be a fur, but I'm not a dog fucker, or a pedophile, nor am I into shitting myself in diapers, or being inflated like a balloon, or..." etc etc. That's not a fun conversation, nor is it fair that I, or anyone else, has to have it. I'm a firm believer that anyone's personal rights should extend around them, like a bubble, in every direction for infinity... until they come into contact with someone else's bubble of rights. And this kind of thing is most definitely effecting adversely the enjoyment and right to happyness of others in the fandom and extended community.
When most of your effort is spent on defending deviants their "rights" to express their aberrant behavior, you'll soon find all you have left are deviants and their aberrant behavior, having chased everyone else away by making them uncomfortable, not wanting to be associated with that group.
"Trekkies" have these same problems come up. The difference is, when somebody tries to sell a portfolio of Piccard / Kirk time travle slash yaoi at a Trek Convention, they're escorted out, violently, by security and banned from future events, and their car set on fire. However, in the furry community, we're expected to not only embrace all the hermaphroditic shitting dicknipple porn, but to congratulate those that would tatoo it permanently on their bodies for their courageous self expressive statements of individuality. That philosophy is not just an exercise in intellectual bankruptcy, but is also why we're the laughing stock of all fandoms, and the bottom of the nerd food chain. When CSI is creating entire plotlines around how fucked up your subculture is, it is time for a little self reflection.
Self-policing is the only way any subculture can maintain any kind of cohesive structure and avoid eventually cannabilizing itself. By artificially preventing this evolutionarily advantageous immune system response, FA mods are the cancer that is killing furry.
then you shouldnt have clicked on it

I have to have them too, dont worry, your not the only one out there, but im afraid that people tend to say this exact same thing about gay people, or people of a different coloured skin, im afraid your just going to have to acceot this fact and live with it. but if it makes you feel any better, send them to me if it happens and ill set them straight, and it'll end the conversation about it too, you cant lose.

again, people can say this for different coloured skin and sexual preference, you'll just have to accept it, and better yet, stay away from it if thats the case, you dont need to click it, or comment on it, doing any of those two will result in it affecting your life somehow.

heh, well yes i understand this very well, but what we pretty much have to understand is we need to grow up and let them be a part of what they want to be a part of, they have the ability to have that choice, we shouldnt question they're freedom of choice, and better yet, you dont have to be a part of they're choice ;)

heres the thing, i agree with them, furs are fucked up, they're into fucked up things. but theres a difference between being a part of something and forcing that something onto other people, if someones posts an image of a tattoo they got its usually because they're proud, not because they're trying to disrupt your furry equilibrium.
im afraid everyone is just going to have to choose to do the mature thing and just let it be, they arnt doing anything illegal, immoral, they're just into something you dont agree with, and thats fine, but your simply going to have to accept that, your not going to make it go away by ranting about it. also, when people speak bad about furs, when they speak of the things wrong with it, they arnt talking about you, they're talking about the people into it, they just happen to be furries.
--"Self-policing is the only way any subculture can maintain any kind of cohesive structure and avoid eventually cannabilizing itself. By artificially preventing this evolutionarily advantageous immune system response, FA mods are the cancer that is killing furry."--
so the mods stopping people from stopping other furs from making a choice they are very able to freely make themselves, they are killing fa? im sorry but this has got to be the most ignorant thing ive heard today. they arnt killing fa, they're trying to open it up as an open accepting friendly environment, they're promoting freedom of choice and promoting the acceptance of those choices, they're making it so others thinking of joining the furry fandom dont have to worry about people criticizing the way they think, the things they like. if thats killing it then let them.
be accepting, and if thats not a possibility, leave them alone, you shouldnt say anything to them if it isnt constructive.
From 5GSFs:
GSF1 is one of the most common fallacies, and one of the most deeply held. Many geeks have had horrible, humiliating, and formative experiences with ostracism, and the notion of being on the other side of the transaction is repugnant to them.
In its non-pathological form, GSF1 is benign, and even commendable: it is long past time we all grew up and stopped with the junior high popularity games. However, in its pathological form, GSF1 prevents its carrier from participating in -- or tolerating -- the exclusion of anyone from anything, be it a party, a comic book store, or a web forum, and no matter how obnoxious, offensive, or aromatic the prospective excludee may be.
As a result, nearly every geek social group of significant size has at least one member that 80% of the members hate, and the remaining 20% merely tolerate. If GSF1 exists in sufficient concentration -- and it usually does -- it is impossible to expel a person who actively detracts from every social event. GSF1 protocol permits you not to invite someone you don't like to a given event, but if someone spills the beans and our hypothetical Cat Piss Man invites himself, there is no recourse. You must put up with him, or you will be an Evil Ostracizer and might as well go out for the football team.
This phenomenon has a number of unpleasant consequences. For one thing, it actively hinders the wider acceptance of geek-related activities: I don't know that RPGs and comics would be more popular if there were fewer trolls who smell of cheese hassling the new blood, but I'm sure it couldn't hurt. For another, when nothing smacking of social selectiveness can be discussed in public, people inevitably begin to organize activities in secret. These conspiracies often lead to more problems down the line, and the end result is as juvenile as anything a seventh-grader ever dreamed of.
The fact of the matter is that certain individuals will always manage to ruin the experience for most of us, but we can't throw them out or improve our position because of this fallacy.
In reality, it would be better for everyone if we could, based upon the undeniable truth that the needs of the many ahould carry more weight than the needs of the few. To deny that is a facet of dystopian stratification.
your old news man, give it up..
Chillax and find something better to do if you don't like hearing facts... like masturbate. Just not on my journal, thanks.
Your right to a good reputation > everyone else's right to free expression.
You make a fine harlequin.
You fail at math. gb2/algebra
However, if there are other exceptional circumstances, a permanent ban may be imposed on an account.
Good luck with that.
You have the right to say whatever you want to, unless it's violating the rights of other people
Second.
Afacepalm indicates that he didn't like the pic and had to hold his head as he had seen it.
Third.
He has the right to say he doesn't like the pic, hasn't he?
Fourth.
If I get banned for this post, I will laugh.
Then kill myself.
