I'm hoping of jump starting a plan to make a Furries v.s. Scalies 2D fighting game using M.U.G.E.N.

Nero's fighting style is a mix of hand-to-hand and swordplay, often channeling elemental energy into his blade in the form of light, darkness, flame, and electric slashes, and lightning and darkness into his hand-to-hand attacks. His Super Move(s) [if needed] would involve a high-speed full-force slash technique he calls the "Shadow Sword", which he can also use elements with for more power (if leveled super moves are included), but only Fire and Darkness, which he calls "Flame Sabre" and "Dark Splicer".

Sora's fighting style is around the quick hitter and special type.
Fighting style: Mainly a meele user. is is VERY slow, but has REALLY high defense and is a VERY powerful attacker. He also can use the elements of Darkness (his offensive element) and Nature (which is basically healing and tings like +speed or +def. though he mostly uses it for healing.) Basically his place on the team is to take a shitton of hits and live, but also dish out damage. but he can't dodge worth shit. (he is normally a macro but obviously would be toned down for this game) Also, if you plan to include any supermoves, he can also use what is called a "Fury" with his darkness element (look up Furies from The Legend of Spyro: The Eternal Night or The Legend of Spyro: A New Beginning to see what I mean

He actually can go on his back paws so again, anthro is fine. he also is a Warrior of the Code. so most likely would bow before every fight as one of those "pre battle greeting" things that appear in some games. He also would use his tail sometimes, but that is a rarer occurance. he is a really fast flyer so would probably have a high jump or something.

Notes: Belinda comes from a tribal society that goes without societal trappings like clothes or technology. Because of their extreme isolation, they have their own language and are still aware of some of the ins and outs of magic. Belinda herself is fairly normal. She is one of several of her people with exceptional survival skills to be chosen as a Guardian to look after the rainforest she calls home.
Fighting Style: Something like Caeporea with a spear. She's acrobatic and leggy, a good climber with the claws on her fingers and toes. Her special moves could be something like magic that temporarily increases her durability or speed. Her personality is extremely naive and borderline innocent, yet friendly and take-charge when she needs to be.

Notes: Aerth was chosen by an obscure god to protect his planet from something that was coming to assault it from outside of space and time. He was given a headband enchanted with power that allows him to fly by manipulating air pressure and wind up to a certain extent, and he can fire eye lasers that temporarily blind him. When he is focused, he's also very durable, capable of doing damage to steel structures like cars or jets with his blows. However, stuff he isn't expecting will waylay him just like any normal fur.
Fighting Style: Muay Thai kickboxing enhanced by flight and claws. His eye lasers can be pretty powerful, but there should be some downside to using them. Perhaps they come at the cost of health? His personality is straightforward and goal oriented. He is somewhat aloof from society because he refuses to conform to it (he originally came from a small villaige). Most people don't follow his gods and don't understand him or give him any recognition, but he still does what he thinks is right in the name of justice, even if it occasionally pits him against the law.
I have other characters that would be good too, but I think these two had the best chances of being suitable to your game, without knowing much about the feel or setting other than "Scalies vs Furs".
Both should be cool to see in this kind of format. Looking forward to seeing what you can come up with! ^.^

Fighting Style: Krav Maga, a style developed by the Israelis to better defend themselves in the 1940's. Though the style does incorporate guns into it, since the style was developed originally for soldiers, it mainly deals with crowd control and self defense allowing for ample opportunity for counters. It is about using your opponent against you and quickly dismissing him to move onto the next. This is the main focus of the artform, not the use of the gun. Combat knives are also a useful tool in Krav Maga. Though I cannot really explain it, here's a video demonstrating a few clips of it. There's also a full documentary by Lethal Weapon floating on youtube somewhere, but I'd only recommend that if you really want to know more since it's an hour long. As a Fighting style, I can't really think of a character that already exists, but my character likes to be up close and personal. Using bare claws or using his powers to enhance his strength or add an extra "umph" to it. Has slight levitation powers and when pushed to the edge, can call on his elementals to give him a drastic boost of strength, going as far as to become an embodient of ice and flame at the same time, or Crystalfire as I call it.

Chais is a guns a blazin' ace shot cowboy. He wouldn't be too good, just a variety of uses. A good but hard to play character. Different weapons of choice each one with their own style of use.

Pillar style: his style with the pillar, is more straightforward, tanky, and strong, taking perks from Kilik from Soul Calibur, and adding some twists from Nightmare, also from Soul Calibur.

Style - My fursona's style and character is pretty much based off Gogeta with a little bit of Vegitto in the mix. And I'm even capable of performing the Big Bang Kamehameha and other such moves at super saiyan 4, though as you stated, there shouldn't really be any god-like moves, and DBZ is as godly as it gets a lot of the time...! SO! If my fursona's added, just make me a super saiyan, give me basic dbz moves, and make my finish move the big bang Kamehameha and I'd be eternally happy~!

Fighting Style:
Battle dancing, uses evasion, grappling and graceful dance movements in a fight. Mostly grab based where she forces her opponent to dance with her, tossing and throwing them all over the place, fatiguing them as she jerks them all over the place with various dancing styles.
She also can deliver deadly can can kicks, hip bumps, slaps and smothering bearhugs and kisses. She also uses scent, to both attract her opponent into her waiting arms with a sweet love smell, or unleash her overpowering skunk odor to dizzy them, stun them, drive them away or cause them to pass out if they stay too close to her.
She uses two weapons.
Fashion Ray Gun: Allows her to zap her opponent and trap them in a frilly dress for a short period of time.
Energy Whip: Allows her to whip her opponent from a distance, as well as ensnare and pull them close.

His signature moves are the rose line: A hurricanrana which always starts at the north most point to launch the enemy south.
All Roses wilt: Basically the move where Rob Van Dam dives into a roll from the turnbuckle then does a forward flip slam down on the prone opponent. Soren does it more from a standing position more often though.

About the battle... Drake can use dark magic. So if it's possible, he can use ranged magic attacks. I don't really have any reference about it.
In case it's not possible, he can use tow magic blades which can be merge into a bow ((I promise i didn't steal Pit's bow, I made it myself before discovering this one!)
Drake uses quick attacks and dodges. He would be hard to get hit, but also doesn't deal a lot of damages (or deals normal damages, but is very vulnerable if he is hit)

Fighting style: I will post an more detailed message about this soon, but essentially he would have this brawler kinda fighting style, where instead of jumping around the places or making cool locks, he instead focuses on getting into the fight close and personal, delivering kicks and hits with brutal effiency. My char Dareian is an expert at using lightning so that will definitely have to be incorporated with his attacks.
A switch between Feral and Anthro form would be nice.
-In Feral form, his movement speed will be a lot faster and more dependent on his lightning based attacks (i.e. A lightning ball projectile, A lightning imbued bite, or A lightning bolt from the sky)
-In Anthro form, his attack speed can be slightly faster and more dependent on normals than lightning attack (i.e. Jabs, claws, talon strikes, tail slash, winged based attacks)
Both forms can still use lightning based attacks and normals, just one form excels in each category than the other. Basically the concept behind the character would be a balance between the two forms and the ability to react quickly enough to utilize them both to achieve its full potential.
I'd be uber-delighted in being able to take a few shots doing that.

Fighting style: Reasonable. Flying is significantly limited, sparks and standard electrical shocks (the lightning is a purple glow wave (not fork-like lines) with black linings, so it's really just lunar plasma and not regular lightning by the colors and design of it) from the claws (almost like shock punch use), tail whip, a super brief lunar force field defense (only works 10% of the time if you press it, but 50% of the time if you time it very precisely), and slightly agile movements. Take some of these mentioned features out if you need to, I didn't want anything to be too beneficial either. Think of it as a Super Smash bros.-like animation to the movements, if you've played it.

Fighting: using his claws only. because there cant be asymmetry, his white arm would be in front all the time. well, he should use his right claw for normal attacks and his left, white claw for the heavy attacks. It's probably not completely relevant here, but my fighting style in UT99 is basically to find the Flak Cannon and then run at anything that moves while unloading my weapon into it until it stops moving, if that helps any... There's Rei on the left there. He's fat and slow but swings hard and heavy with the hammer. He can peed up his movements byusing the hammer's pwer to speed up his movements. The clocks on it glow and spin as he speeds his movement up. He could be a fatty cute brute type. If you need any more info, I'll be glad to share.

For fighting style: First, I actually would be interested in seeing what ideas you have. After 100 of these, trying to mimic what everyone else wants, what ideas you might still find original, instead of being just another copycat. I would rather let you pick some unique and original that you want to create because you think it could translate very well with the character model.
If that level of open-endedness isn't your style, then i'll just note off a few ideas down here, but first and foremost, if you think you might have a creative idea that no one else has taken by the time you do me, (if you do select me as one of the models) then please ignore the following suggestions.
Escrima, Tai chi, fencing, any of the bending styles from avatar, claw/cestus brawling, various stick fighting styles (say kilik) i dunno... captain planet... i ran out of ideas. Curious to see what you end up doing.

Askyar is quite good at "white claw" martial art. Bit like Karate and Judo, I think, though with emphasis on feet to face techniques.

He would probably be a fast character, using one or two knifes mostly and his sickle claws on his feet and like Chester he can has some flasks with an explosive liquid at his belt which he can throw at his enemies.

As for a fighting style, I'd say have fun with it! Levin has a scythe..so hack 'n slash away I'd say =P for distance attacks, he is a spirit and has the ability to throw an aura of spectral energy, utilize this if possible! :3 if I really had to go with something that already exists, I'd say something like Dante or Trish from Marvel VS Capcom 3 is the most fitting.
This is a really cool idea and even if I don't get a slot in good luck with the whole project =D

As for fighting style, Sorta a fusion between Street Fighters' Chun Li and Kuromoro from Mugen. Basically a Mid Ranged Fighter. Xander is supposed to be psychic and his main way of attacking is with tentacle like psychic creations. If that's too much, the Chinese Style that Chun Li uses.

Her name is Cermina
She's trained in the combat style of Spetzna's fighting, so a lot of it consists of Vadim Starov style, its a mixture of krav maga and tai-chi, both defensive and offensive, with a bit of Heavy Weapons gun-play (RPK LMG is her fave)
Unfortunately, my character is far from a simple fist figher... he mixes is illusions, psychic attacks, hexes and spectral constructs. He could open with a nerve hit, switch to a rapier, then a pistol and finish with a shotgun all created from energy. He's also a flier. I might be a bit too complicated for MUGEN's basics.
Additionally, even if you are interested in attempting, I must know. Is this a simple beat 'em up fighter, or are there going to be more ... mature... themes? I'd rather not be involved if all this is gonna be is a bunch of furs trying out perverted grabs on each other. Like that snake trying to eat everyone. :|

Taluthus's fighting style is short ranged bladed combat using his wristblades, and also using his tails as offensive weapons. They are prehensile, and quite strong, and are a powerful weapon in their own right. Tal fights defensively with his blade, waiting for his opponents first to strike, then countering with his own attack when they are still close range

S: Not really partial arts here, but the character is quite a monster, using its body to fight, as well as either a razor-sharp sword, or a double mace and chain weapon. I could tell more about its abilities if it were chosen.

-Fighting style (Though i dont know much about fighting style in games ming has an elegant style to his fighting, though he knows many forms of fighting being 5 milenia old.
