General Commission Info Post

I am open for commissions pretty much all the time. If you're not sure, please feel free to note me or email me! My email is ChibiSilverWings[at]gmail.com and it is ALWAYS the fastest way to get a hold of me.
GENERAL PRICE GUIDE:
Custom MLPs - $40-50
Mugs - $35-45 (require a box to ship, so shipping is 12 at the cheapest)
Cellcharms & Earrings - $10-25
General Sculptures – approx. $10 per inch of height per character (or length if it's a more horizontal design)
Full Chess Sets - $450-700
I make lots of other things, you tell me what you have in mind when you message me, and I'll give you a price quote.
SHIPPING:
Shipping is separate to the prices above. For MOST items I use the USPS first class without tracking and here are my common rates:
USA: $4
Anywhere else: $7
Custom Ponies have tracking, and use Priority Mail in the US and use First class mail internationally:
USA: $6
Anywhere else: $8
For larger orders and items with strange shapes, I work out shipping individually and will tell you in my price quote. If you want to upgrade shipping, that's fine, just bring it up with me, and we can work out the cost.
PROCESS:
You send me the form below filled out OR a longer email that includes all the details asked for on the form. I'll let you know the price range when I know what you want. I start the work as soon as I receive your payment, see "time frame" for how long I work. On a custom sculpture, pony, or chess set I will typically need 2-3 messages back and forth to work out details before I can give you a finalized price. I will provide ROUGH sketches for most orders, links to my previous works (if they will look similar), or I can work from your sketches, if you provide them.
TIME FRAME:
A normal commission takes about 2 weeks to finish and one week for me to put it in the mail. THUS you should expect 3 weeks for me to mail it. I am VERY strict to myself about this for normal, single-item orders. For larger orders the time varies, but I will give you a time frame in advance.
MATERIALS USED:
Everything I made is done by hand individually, most things are one of a kind and everything will have slight differences because I don't use molds. I use sculpey polymer clay, acrylic paints, sculpey glossy glaze and occasionally other implements to achieve certain effects. If you have some allergy or questions about what I'm using, please ask. I'm willing to branch out and use requested materials outside my usual materials, but please note that if it's something I don't already have, it will be added to your cost total.
ABILITY RANGE:
I've made: charms, earrings, necklaces, magnets, decorative sculptures, props, customized toys, chess sets, Christmas ornaments and more. If you aren't sure if it's something I can make, just ask. I will let you know if it's within my range and I won't take an order for something I don't think I'm capable of doing well. I specialize in sculptures under 4 inches and do most of my best work with creature type characters. Human characters are typically stylized, see my gallery for examples.
PAYMENT METHODS:
I take payment up front in US Dollars and very much prefer Paypal, or credit card via etsy. I have occasionally accepted other payments but that is rare. Any order 50 dollars or over I'm willing to negotiate a payment plan or payment half up front, half after the item is finished. I assure you that you will find no one who has ever been cheated by me out of getting their work made well and in a timely manner. RULES FOR ART TRADES:
I do take some art trades, if I'm not too busy with paid orders at the time. I have basically one big rule for them, that it needs to be done within a month, no exceptions if you're offering, I expect you to only offer an art trade when you feel like you have the time to complete it. Other than that it just depends on if I like the art style/object the person is offering. I encourage you to ask! I usually tend to not have good ideas of what to ask for from people who offer craft type things, so that's most often the reason I turn people down, but I love drawings and if you can draw humans, I'm very likely to say yes :3 I have lots of characters I'd love to get drawn.

PERSONAL POLICIES:
Please know these few things before you commission me:
- You are free to use the sculpture for whatever you'd like afterwards, take pictures of it, post it anywhere you want, just please say I made it if you post a photo of it somewhere!
- If for some reason your sculpture is lost in the mail, I will either refund you half the price of the item, OR remake the item and send it again with you covering only the shipping for the remade item. This applies to smaller items. If it's an order over 50 dollars, I will need to work it out with you individually.
- I will NOT give full refunds if you're not happy with the final results. I will however, offer to fix the item as best I can if something is wrong with it that can be changed without completely remaking it. I want you to be happy with the final product, so I'll do my best!
- This has very very rarely come up BUT I reserve the right to return your money and decline a commission for any reason. I will not take your money if I won't be doing the work, but in case of my feeling uncomfortable/unhappy with the piece, or for some other reason reason can't complete it, I will simply return your money and I ask you to please not badger me with questions or complaints after that. I really hate to have this happen, but I thank you for respecting me if it does.
