what do you think about the live at the Court of Constantinopolis and the service in the Varangian Guard so far. And what do say about your fellow Guards, do you think they are qualified to serve a future Emperor as household and battlefield Guard?

Rossweisse: While we were there, the Varangian Guard was a pretty good unit. One issue any emperor would need to deal with regarding them is that the majority of them would be loyal to whoever is paying them, they're foreigners and they not serving out of any love of country. Some of the officers who had more at stake could be depended on more; they got their position by serving that emperor, and a new emperor might not want them around.

Yeah, one of the main problems for the Byzantine Empire was the permanent inner conflicts. Many changes of the rulers.

will you be able to find your treasured tunic again in the future?

Rossweisse: The tabard that Lilla lost in Normandy? No telling what they did with that after we left, I haven't seen it since.

Lady Rossweisse, have you ever seen anything more frightening than an angel?

Rossweisse: I saw a brony convention on YouTube. OK, not the same sort of frightening...

If you returned to Asgard and discovered it's not there anymore, what would you do?

Rossweisse: Well I couldn't return if it wasn't there! That would be problematic, since it keeps getting harder and harder to live unnoticed on Midgard.

Milady, what has surprised you most in the modern world?

Rossweisse: It used to be that the knowledge of the world was kept in books written by hand, and only a few had access to them. Now anyone can look up anything at anytime. Yet, despite the easy access to knowledge the world is still full of stupid people.

Ha! She is correct! And the loudest lies are the ones believed most often. We as a race have devolved, look to our "leaders" for proof of this!

Dame Rossweisse: Firstly, in the last thousand and a half years, has there been any particular warriors that you felt should have been added to the ranks of the Einherjar?

Secondly, So, would Valkyrie Ölrún, is she as interesting at the feasts in Valhalla as I'd imagine? With a name like "Ale Rune" it's hard not to consider.

Rossweisse: Oh, sure! I've even killed a few myself. But if they're not Asatru then they don't get to go. As far as who I may have meet in my time here in exile, well I'm not allowed to say as that might be considered "spoilers".

You've been taken care of the young Princess for a while and you've seemed to have gotten quite used to it.

Would you say you enjoy looking after the young princess now and if so...what do you enjoy about it?

Rossweisse: It wasn't the sort of job I had hoped to find, but I did become comfortable looking after Princess Theodora after a while. Plus, compared to the other places we had been on Earth up to then, living in the palace in Constantinople was a pretty good deal.

Lady Rossweisse, considering you've seen an angel, what was your first impression of them when you saw one?

Also, have you meet any fallen angels or possibly demons?

Rossweisse: Probably like the same impression you would have if you were in a fishing boat and a navy destroyer was after you. As far as who I may have meet in my time here in exile, well I'm not allowed to say as that might be considered "spoilers".

Rossweisse: It knew I was there, but fortunately it wasn't there for me.

You once gave me babyhead for Yule, I still treasure it. My question is this: were you able to kick one figure, wellknown to our histories whilst you have been in exile, who would it be?
We would not restrain you to a gentle kick, but a mighty wallop that would have them wearing their wedding tackle round their necks!

Rossweisse: People like Hitler and Stalin would be the obvious answers, but while well deserved those choices are influenced by being relatively recent murdering bastards. I mean most people in the world today at least know someone who lived through those times. But, looking back through all my time on Earth, if I could only chose one person for this mighty kick it would be Inquisitor Generalis Tomás de Torquemada, the great self-righteous prick behind the Spanish Inquisition. Something that was not only happening in Spain during his lifetime, but continued into the 1800s spreading to places as far away as Peru.

By any chance did you three get to ride on the Titanic when it was around?
