Who's turning kids furry these days?
Been kinda wondering which characters are responsible for helping the younger generation discover their love for furry art.
For us, it was mostly through Disney and Sonic. So.. all you 90s and 00s kids, who turned you furry?

mix of dangerous and sexy
from my liking of sonic~ i grew fond of other furries as well, some pokemon, some digimon. a little of everything xD
Callie Briggs
Peg Pete
Lola Bunny
and a bunch of non-animalistic animated characters whom aided in the transition to the furry side.
Now that's massive, powerful, sleek, elegant, .. exxxperienced lioness!
why no new games mang
And
I drew anthropomorphic cartoons long before I knew anything about the 'furry' thing. That moniker didn't really settle over here until the Internet became relatively widespread.
My interest in furries may have been influenced by loony toons, specifically bugs bunny because he's awesome. Only after having internet access for a few years did I eventually find this fandom.. along with all the other weird stuff on the internet.
2)a goofy movie
3) robin hood
4) tiny toons
5) the internet....rule34 to be exact
these are the top five things that turned me
What really cemented me as a furry, and a bunch of people my age I'd guess, was the Disney Afternoon. When it premiered, the TMNT led 'funny animal' wave had been going for three or four years. A whole block of anthropomorphic cartoons every afternoon didn't seem a stretch at the time. Most folks seem to have preferred either Duck Tales or Rescue Rangers, but I was in to Talespin, especially Rebecca Cunningham. ^^
Here's another old favorite, with updated remix! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XttQP7d_-dE (The Raccoons, Run With Us, House Remix)
disney has always used talking and anthropomorphic animals in their works and never shied away from the romance angle.
fairly certain my hypnosis and transformation fetishes came from disney to.
couldn't name a show in particular to blame for it though if i had to choose i'd probably say talespin. didn't learn about furries until 2009 or so well at least not the art part. friend of mine actually showed me an art site full of furries and i've been hooked ever since.
=^.,.^=
And then I discovered the internet. And look where I ended up. Now it's all about cats and memes! ;P
I actually was just playing Halo 3 back in the day, chatting with some friends that were older than me, and they started talking about stuff I didn't understand. I asked for an explanation, and was given a link to the Furthia High webcomic. Needless to say I was interested in the story.
After only a small frame of time, I had become interested in this stuff, and I finally realized what it was I was looking into/at. I've been hanging around since, and boy is it enjoyable.
I've watched it some and it's pretty damn good for a cartoon!
Well....Regular Show too, to a certain extent. I think.
Tails - sonic
Starfox - krystal
And honesty maybe sites like these should have a age system
This isnt a thing for kids even if its cartoons
