belgos : So, drawing time. This time I promise to be fast on my end since I'm now done with classes. That being said, I'll do 10 drawings for people just to see how well this goes over, because I'm offering a caveat in order to get the drawing.

I want you to sign up for a free service, called Dropbox, to upload files for backup and install the program to your computer. If you don't like it, you can just uninstall it afterwards... just doing it will help me out regardless. Sign up through the link I'll give though will help me out in turn (give me more online space) as I do use it to automatically backup files from my phone in the event I lose it, I have backups. And in there, I do some of my drawings and other things.

That's it. If you sign up yourself, I'll draw a sketch. 6 minutes or so, I'll even time myself so I can chug them out quick. Just keep the drawing simple if you would, not anything overly detailed. Anything is up for game as long as it isn't anything too crazy (see bottom of journal entry). If you really like dropbox and want to be able to sync folders outside of it without having to change your folder structure, I'll point ya in the right direction. If not, I'll make a quick sketch in 3 minutes.

You can use this tool to quickly right click a folder and sync it with drop box (but can only have it go automatically to the root of your drop box location). There's also a Mac version in the link provided after this. Read through, you might like something there.

Or you can have more control and specify your own symbolic links to use. Works on Windows Vista, 7, or 8 only. This way you can create the link you need to the specific directory (let's say a folder called pictures in a folder called porn) you want in dropbox, rather than everything going in
i.e. C:\Users\Username-here\Dropbox

You can specify something like
i.e. C:\Users\Username-here\Dropbox\Porn

Leave the settings "AS IS" where it says the symbolic link stuff, and make sure to right click and run as administrator if running Windows Vista, 7, or 8. Set the top Explore button to the dropbox location you want to use. Set the name of the symbolically linked folder just below that. Then, on the second Explore button, set the location of the actual folder you want to sync. And then hit the create link, and ta-da, you're done.

For example...

Want to backup the folder: C:\Users\Home User\Pictures\Gay Porn\Anthro
To the location: C:\Users\Home User\Dropbox\Pictures\Gay Porn\
without having to manually move where you have the folder now to backup files all the time.

Set the first Explore button to: C:\Users\Home User\Dropbox\Pictures\Gay Porn\
And then set the box below it as: Anthro
And then set the bottom Explore button as: C:\Users\Home User\Pictures\Gay Porn\Anthro

This then automatically backs up files you save in one physical data location on your hard drive, but automatically backs it up to your portable drop box. Ta-da.

EDIT!!!!  WolfJD : It seems that, linking more than two dropbox accounts into one PC might make the extra space validation not happen, so it's better to just try and link your PC and try getting friends to join through that link, instead of trying to validate every account on your PC. If you got a laptop and/or more house PCs, you're free to try that!

EDIT x2:  WolfJD :So, it seems that you really can't do signups with duplicated accounts on the same PC... but since some people did try it already,  belgos is indeed going to give them the lvl 2 drawings anyways! You can still try making new accounts with other devices, though, and those will work! or getting friends to sign up with that link!

EDIT  belgos If you're feeling crafty, apparently the referral is based on a computer's mac address. The simple version means you should do this on different computers. The more difficult version suggests you change your mac address after de-activating the drop box account install. If you're interested in trying harder, I will consider lowering the requirement to get a better drawing for the work put into it.
