Wow!! Two years have gone by already! I think we'll make a tradition from last year and host another FREE ART raffle!! That's right! Don't miss this rare chance for FREE ART!! Step right up and you can be entered to win one of three fabulous prizes! and now my beautiful host, Fish, will give you the rundown of the prizes... Today we've got a set of three fabulous prizes, one grand prize and two honorable mentions!
Here's what you could win!
The Grand Prize - The very LAST Official Commission from Vox! Fully colored, fully shaded, detailed background. I'll still be drawing what I want to draw, but I won't be doing requests or commissions after this
Honorable Mention #1 - A flat colored commission done by Fish
Honorable Mention #2 - A flat colored commission done by Fish
And now on to the rules:
1: Watch us.
2: Post a journal telling others about our art raffle. (Must include a link to our page.)
3: Post one random factual statement (ex. Only 2% of Earth’s population naturally has green eyes.) and a link to your journal.
Have you met the requirements?
We will check if you have met all the requirements and give you a number. This is the number you are in the raffle.
Who is the winner?
The winner will be chosen using a random number generator on July 22, 2013. At that time, we will check to make sure the winners haven't un-watched us and such. Then we will post a journal and send the winners a note about who won. While it is typically encouraged to bribe and beg for arts, the winners of this raffle will be truly random. If you want to commission us, you're more than welcome! Fish is open for "Pay-what-you-want commissions. See if you can catch one of her open slots!
Rules for prizes:
Each prize can be whatever you want, but there are a few exceptions.
- For the grand prize, you must act as thought it was a commission from Vox. There is a list of things he will not draw and things he will draw HERE.
- For Fish's two honorable mentions, the same rules apply. HERE is a list of things she will draw and won't draw.
- For all the prizes, please try to keep your request simple. This is free art after all. We will not draw more then 3 characters for any prize, and fewer characters means better details.
Anyways, we hope you all participate in this raffle. It'll be a lot of fun!

Random Fact: Did you know the term 'giving someone the bird' came from the 100 years war between France and England? Whenever the French would capture an English Longbowman in battle, they would cut off their middle finger. (This is because in order to pull a Longbow, you HAVE to have that finger.)
As an insult, whenever the two armies would meet in battle, the English Bowmen would insult the French by showing off their middle fingers.

I shall give you THREE random facts about the same subject!
1. Owls have such devilishly flexible necks because they cannot move their eyes inside of the sockets. In order to possess such amazing nightvision, their eyes have to be so large that the associated muscles and a lot of other things won't fit inside their skulls. For example...
2. At least one species of owl has an asymmetrical skull! This doesn't sound like a big deal at first, but I don't know of any other animal like that. In this species's case, it's because the eyes are so big that there's no room for both ear holes to point out at the same angle. One has to angle up, and the other down. Biologists don't yet know how this is accomplished during development, because it's fecking bizarre.
3. This same species also has no room in its skull for the bone normally found at the back of the eye socket. I have seen photos of this. If you push away the feathers around the ear hole and look inside, you can very plainly see the back of the living owl's eyeball.

..and predates the 1" systems as well.
looks like they were probably using Ampex. At $300 US per roll (in 1963) it's easy to understand why they wiped and reused them, thus the reason many early episodes were lost..
