1995... the year I got my first real computer.... I was 14 years old that year.

Roughly the same timeframe for me, albeit no single account anywhere from that time. And I haven't been a part of a whole lot. Oh well. :)

I didn't get a rig till about 98-01. FurryMuck wasn't too much of a spot for me though I was there a little bit. TBH, I discovered AGNPH much earlier.

well happy B-day and i was just starting to look for furry pics and what not back in 95 though at the time i didnt know why i liked them so much nor even what the furry fandom was. XD Oh and yup those were good times indeed.

I had to punch out after m'19 years. The drama whoring, backstabbing and two faced furs out there kinda ruined it for me. I'm glad to see that you can still stay in after this long as many of us old lifestylers left as the newer generations bastardized what furry really was. I've sided more with Therians, m'own brand of it instead of the strictest definition... but go long and go proud. ^^

People will ruin anything, anywhere, always. I don't see a point in leaving the things I love to escape them when they're everywhere.

I can still RP, write and enjoy artwork without having the furry fandom define who I am. I see no reason to remain in a group that has sent death threats and wish that I go die alone and deserve all the pain I'm currently in... all because as a Dom Top... I won't "service" them. Bay Area Furs are bastards like that. There are some good people out there... but they are good individuals... not good because they are fur. They just happen to be furs as well.

So because a few people are retards, you've written off the entire group?

It's really more than a few. RP'ing in Taps, SL, FurryMuck, IRC, Instant Messengers... there are only a handful of individuals that I'd consider decent people out of a massive group of uninspired and lazy "Casual Furries" XD

It's quite possible that I have the shittiest luck but the drama isn't really worth it when I already have m'own issues to deal with. Why add more on top of it?

Let's take a few prime examples here. There are a few "infamous" furs out there that did something wrong in the past. I could name names... but that would be rather rude of me to do. Each of them gain this stigma of being "bad furs" that no one wants to associate with. In the fandom... no one forgets. You make one mistake and you're branded by it for the rest of your time or until people forget who you are or even the newer generations who haven't been warned, take a chance on you. It's always been rather cut throat no matter where you are in the world. From London, to the east and west coast of the states... always seems to follow you as the gossip circles are amazingly tight and things spread like wildfire due to the high school lunch room cliques.
