The CBG Trading Card Game Rules!
Cards
The game is played with two players using two decks, each player has a deck of at least 30 cards but can have up to 50. A deck can only contain a maximum of three duplicates of a card though some cards are limited to less than that. (see card list for more information)
There are four types of cards:
Creature
Item
Location
Weapon
Each card serves a different purpose:
Creatures are what you fight with, they have a set health, Damage and Special statistics that can be increased or decreased by other cards, you can have up to three creatures on the field.
Items are used to enhance your creature or to cause problems for your oponents creature, you can play item cards at any time.
Locations are what you fight in, there can only be one location card on the field at any time, the location is decided with a coin toss at the beggining of the game, the location cannot be changed during the game.
Weapons are what your creature uses to attack with, they can be anything from a gun to a rock but some can only be used by certain creatures.
those are the basics on cards.
How To Play The Game
setup: the two players shuffle each others decks, they place their own deck in the center of the placemat, the players then draw 4 cards and the game begins.
Game: Flip a coin, whoever gets heads goes first and places his/her location card on the field, they then draw a card, if during the first draw you are not happy with your hand you may discard your hand to the purgatory realm and draw 5 more cards, you can only do this once during your first turn.
Place up to three creature cards around your deck face down, they are deffending your deck, to win you must attack your oponents deck three times, only the top creature can attack, the others deffend, you can rotate your creatures during your turn only.
after each player has placed his creature cards then the first card is turned face up, this is to stop your oponent from choosing a creature stronger than yours by seeing your card.
You can place certain item cards or weapon cards to a creature card, these will increase stats based on what is written on the cards.
If a creatures health is depleted they are considered to be in purgatory, place them in the purgatory realm until either you can revive them OR after 5 turns they are considered dead and are removed from play, never to be used again in the current game.
those are the basics! play the game and make your own strategies!
