I don't have much work lined up over the next couple of months and so I am running a rafflle, the winner will get a fursuit made to a design of their choice. This will need to be advertised as I will be looking to make enough from raffle sales to cover the cost of the suit materials.

Raffle Rules:
1: Each 'ticket' costs £1

2: A MINIMUM of 300 tickets MUST be sold for the raffle to be valid. PLEASE SHARE AND ADVERTISE.

2: Pay for tickets through paypal at arcothefox@gmail.com. Make sure the payment is marked as "I'm sending money to family or friends" so paypal do not take their charges. Include what the payment if for in the description. Other forms of payment can be discussed.

3: After receipt of money you will receive an e-mail with your raffle number(s)

4: The draw will be on the 28th February

5: A video of the draw will be posted on Youtube for you to watch.

6: The winner's suit will be completed by Confuzzled 2014 and can be collected there if desired.

7: If enough money is raised there will be multiple winners, only the first drawn will be ready for the convention, the others will be completed after. REMEMBER RAFFLE ONLY VALID AFTER 300 TICKETS SOLD.

8: If the raffle closes without enough to cover the cost of a suit (300 tickets), all money will be returned.

PLEASE ADVERTISE this opportunity as many people want suits but don't have all the money required to buy one. I am doing this to hopefully give them a chance to own a suit.

Thanks for advertising. Are you going to take part in the raffle as well? Journal has been updated to make things a bit clearer.

Don't forget to send the money as described in the journal, otherwise paypal take out fees which means I won't be able to refund the whole payment if I don't get a total enough to cover the suit cost.

In what country? Not in the UK. All raffles in the UK are pay for your ticket. I've never experienced one that wasn't.

Just finished reading up on the law about this. Because I am making not profit from this raffle and due to it not raising more that $40,000 in the financial year, I can run a raffle and not have to apply for a permit to run it. So, because I am doing this for the sake of making a suit at cost, it is perfectly legal within the state law to hold this as a raffle. If it was not, then I would just hold it as a lottery, which is also perfectly legal.

Does this refer to the comments of illegality above? If so, I have read the law and because I am taking no profit from this raffle, it is completely legal and within the law that it has to abide by.
