What do "Favourites" mean to you?

Dammit, I'm proud of the things in my favourites! I'm so honoured I got to look at those pieces in the first place. I love how they all look diverse, and I love getting to see all these thumbnails of images I love on the same page. And, like my taste in music, I think I have the best taste ever, because it's mine! >:D
Whenever someone favourites something of mine I always look at what they have favourited. Sometimes my image is already bumped back three pages. That makes me feel like the favourite didn't mean anything, and I feel less-inclined to thank someone for the add.
It really fills me with the warm fuzzies if/when an artist I admire favourites something of mine, and I look to find they only have about a page of thumbnails in there. That is so flattering!
I just think this whole internet thing is really cool. We take this sort of stuff for granted all the time, huh?

I was glad to know that, since I've always collected imagery and art that I liked, but kind of felt guilty about it. Like I was stealing or something. But I guess it's the professional thing to do and highly flattering. (Just as long as you're not copying, obviously, lol)
There are times I have spontaneously added things to my favorites simply because I was enamored with the technique, though.
• It's cool enough that I want it on my page.
• I love the technique and would like to learn from it.
• It's too hawt to nawt.*
Sometimes it's all 3. I don't I fave a lot, but it has added up over the years.
*hawtness is subjective, etc. But faving on this principle can help build rapport with those who have similar interests. Of course, this mostly applies to us gross furries with weird fetishes.
I mean, who doesn't?!
